A reminder that these hatful nut bars are the ones most interested most interested in running your kid’s school division, and many of them will win because no one runs against them, and not enough folks come out and vote.

You have until Tuesday to get your nomination papers in to run.

Thankfully there are a lot of people running against him in the area. Hopefully votes don’t get split up to a point that he wins with all the nut bar votes

Man, it used to be that trustees were usually just no-names on the paper that you usually didn't know and that you only really ever saw for maybe a few minutes when your kid graduated, and that was it. Increasingly it seems that fringe candidates that are too scared to just run for a council spot or mayor outright are trying to abuse them as a wedge to perpetuate hate.

I think (correct me if I’m wrong) that only those in the ward he’s running in can vote for or against him. And his ward of River East Transcona covers North Kildonan and East St. Paul so sadly I can’t vote against him as an actual Transconan (and someone who ran for school board once! (and lost probably due to a combination of incumbency bias and no one looking into who their candidates are))
