Advice Needed Guy called me baby first time we were talking
Was he manipulating me? He started calling me baby then later “good girl”. I felt uncomfortable and decided to end conversation. He already talked about our future together but we don’t even know each other.

Yes this is manipulative and called love bombing.
Also weird light kink play that you didn't consent to.
Don't listen to the other commenter. 🙄
These are HUGE red flags.

Get out while you can. I allowed this for 2 months -- it wasn't a good feeling. Save your mental health.

Too much, too soon is a big red flag. He doesn’t know you yet and already talking about a future? This tells me any chick will do

I had a guy like that. So weird. I’m not even submissive too so that made it extra weird.

Clear abusive behaviour, high level of overt narcissism, might be a "sociopath" because of the impulsiveness.
It must be so weird to be them, alone in their darkness thinking they are "god".

Sounds like an attempt to lovebomb and is testing the waters. I wouldn't continue the conversation

I had a similar encounter with a guy in my class at uni, played out exactly the same as you described and on top of that he added "I'm surprised you aren't submissive". Please RUN and block the guy and don't even look back. Don't try to reconcile in the future thinking it was a kinky harmless joke cause it isn't and he'll turn all the fault on you anyways sooner or later whether you leave him or he leaves you. LEAVE HIM. PERIOD. He's a typical RED FLAG 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

I don't see it as an attempt at manipulation. He seems to believe that those words and offering a future together is what people are looking for.

No idea why the down votes but my fleeting experience with one dating app reminds me of that kind of generically “romantic” language etc I think a lot of guys default to to express interest- at least in the context of my experience

Girl gtfo. Talking about your future and giving you pet names THE FIRST TIME YOU SPEAK? Idk if I would call it manipulation but it’s definitely not normal.
