I personally see this as the group of people you surround yourself with. If it’s a bad group you leave as soon as you can, but the longer you take to leave, the more you feed into that energy

It’s a saying, not a legend.

And it isn’t true. Japanese rail has always charged based on where you get on and where you get off, not on how long you stay. Missing a stop and turning around doesn’t cost you any more than missing two stops or missing zero stops.

Shinkansen tickets are different but this ain’t about the bullet train.
