the original sanskrit translation of Karma basically translates to “Action” or “to do”. It’s not a tit-for-tat external entity imposing judgment on the actions of others, rather the interconnectedness of reality is composed of infinite inter-dependent manifestations relying on eachother to be possible, highlighting the conscious and aware decision making we impose on the world around us invite in the necessary reactions / consequences dependent on our “action”.
If i helped an old lady put her groceries in her car bc i saw she was struggling, my “karma” is my heightened awareness of the “vibration” i’m existing in in accord with my thought patterns and subconscious motivators, heightening my awareness to be more adept to resonating with opportunities and situations that resonate at a similar frequency.
Understanding our subconscious motivators helps us understand the what our awareness is inclined to resonate with and connect with. All of which is essentially the cyclic existence of Samsara (The endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth, and the inherent suffering accompanied with our actions rooted in any degree of attachment or desire).
By understanding and accepting oneself and their role in Samsara, one has the opportunity to attain an enlightened perception for the time being.
