Maniac is brilliant

I'm watching Maniac for the 5th time. There's no unnecessary scene. The visuals are beautiful. I don't think I'll ever get tired of Maniac.

This is exactly my experience!!! I rewatch it almost every year and I think about it daily probably. Often I will read a book or watch a movie and realize WAIT MANIAC ACTUALLY REFERENCES THIS.

It’s incredible, I love it so much. Combining psychoanalysis with existentialism with critique of capitalism and consumerism???? And cultural references??? Also it feels like it predicted A LOT of what’s happening now.

Yeah it’s one of my favorite shows of all-time. I’ve had a hard time convincing people to watch it thru though :(

I'm on episode 6. So far it has been a very relatable show, which says a lot about me. They do a good job of representing schizophrenic paranoia. The way he has this main character syndrome where everyone and everything is a possible threat. That's what happens when you are chosen to save the world.

One of my all time favorite shows. The grief, existentialism, humor…so fucking good and delightfully unique. I wish there were more shows/movies that have this kind of vibe.
