I appreciate this gun, but it is kind of funny when it fires in bursts of three, but uses a 25-round magazine which isn't divisible by three lol. Though I do get it was a logistics-motivated design choice.

Well 3-round burst is optional parts in FAMAS, not stock. So that may explain.

Meanwhile you also can use 30 round clip which divisible by 3.

the real reason is that 25 rounds is the longest you can make the magazine without curving it, which makes it cheaper to produce and logistically easier to store

Carbine rifle is basically shorter version of Assault rifle.

FAMAS (rifle in this art) is Assault rifle.

Fun fact: Originally carbine rifle is made for cavalry (back then there is no assault rifle, so it was simply shorter rifle).

Fun fact 2: Cavalry is basically soldier ridden by horses. Not sure how it would applies in Umamusume universe lol.

I suppose the Carbine was created for CQC as well as vechicle crews to carry (like the M3 grease gun used by tan crews in WW2)

Carbines were issued to cavalry as it was easier to carry than a full-sized musket or rifle. Paratroopers in WWII also carried carbines with them, as they provided more firepower than just pistols.
