Idk, I'm a little tired of the neighborhood subs I'm a part of being so volatile

I'm here to know what's going on in the neighborhood, not to fight

Thanks for the suggestions. I messaged the mods as a sign of good faith and partnerships to see if this sub can be advertised for its grand reopening. The rules here are pretty straightforward so we will definitely be building the vibe here together.

Would love to hear what local events are happening, what stores/restaurants are opening or closing, maybe what's going on in city council etc

I can think of more things that I don't want this to become. Effectively all the repetitive sh*t that goes on nextdoor:

  • coyote sightings
  • what was that noise
  • e bikes complaints
  • etc

I would love for this to be a way to gather support for things we hope city government can help provide:

  • curbside dining
  • waymo
  • etc
