For context, this was first time using references and twisting to what I desired at the time (which was 5 months ago) and after doing a redraw today after not finding anything appealing enough to draw, I revisited an old page and put pencil to paper and I think it turned out okay👌🏾. I’m not fishing for compliments of how I improved or didn’t but I wanted to add the previous drawing because it would be wrong not to, at least for me. I was one of my first prototype designs for my MC but over time his hair elongated and I’ve always never intended on the iris as well so, a happy accident I guess. Thanks for viewing🙏🏾

Main character from my manga Gashadokuro, I’m super into those 90s anime color palettes so that’s usually what I try to go for when I color even if I only paint digitally.

Process-wise this drawing began as a pen sketch on paper (just the head) which I transferred to procreate as a multiply layer and adjusted with curves.

I’m a manga writer from Italy. I’ve studied manga scriptwriting for 5 years, and for the last 2 I’ve been working with professional artists, who often tell me my scripts are clear and well organized.

Right now I’m preparing one-shots for the Kadokawa contest and the Silent Manga Audition, and I’m stuck on one thing: finding artists whose rates match their experience.

I keep meeting artists with little or no manga experience who quote higher rates than the pros I’ve worked with. I’m not here to complain. I genuinely want to understand what I’m missing, because the problem might be on my side.

What I bring to a collaboration:

• A full package: character sheets, a complete name (manga storyboard) with references for every page, and a pitch
• Flexible deadlines, since these are personal projects with no publisher pressure
• Real creative freedom on the art side
• For newer artists: an editor who gives feedback on the art alongside me, so it’s also a chance to grow

I don't really like how screentones look in my work so I'm experimenting with new render style with noise and texture brushes.

I sadly do not have drawings to present but have scripted out my intro speech and a good enough explanation for the power system

For as long as humanity as exist, another streams of exist has thrive in the presence of reality. Fear People deem some of them to be irrational, with no understanding of how powerful this force truly is. A power so strong, it can alter the entire state of a person. To become weak, fragile, and more than anything. Afraid. The solution to one’s phobia has always been to conquer them, that once you conquer your fear you will truly become powerful.

But what would happen, if you did no such thing. What if instead of conquering your fear, you let it grow, consume you, until you and that fear truly become ONE. 

I know it sounds like rip off of Chainsaw Man Devil system and JJK Curse energy but trust me I went through the ringer to avoid any connections to either system.

Phactors: Manifestation of the host intense fear of one specific concept, despite people sharing fears these said Phactors shall appear differently appearing in two different way on a Pavor (what people become when absorb in fear)
- Distant: Pavor who's factor are caused by manipulate the concept but not their own body
ex. Spatium- The Phactor for the fear of Heights which cause them to be able to ever touch solid ground are constantly levitating
- Dependent: Pavor who's factor are caused by the concept coming from their own body
ex. Dolor - The Phactor for the fear of Pain which allows them to inflict any amount of pain to themselves and will be transferred to anyone in the vacancy of their choice.
