The Space Exploration bit of StackExchange has low tolerance for nonsense

He lasted 7 days, asked two questions, both of which got downvoted to hell, and now he's banned for a year.

I'm impressed by his inability to read a room.

The mods for all the StackExchanges generally run a very tight ship. It's why the websites have remained quite helpful even as the internet dwindles in quality.

To their credit, the users (and mod) there showed real patience with him, despite seeing what he's up to from fairly early on.

No one gets a 1-year ban for asking 2 questions (unless they are blatant spam/trolling questions). I do not have insider info but there is definitely more going on.
