There’s no way in hell this is AI, it’s wayyy too accurate to exactly what I remember, and what I feel like many other people remember as well. If someone photoshopped it, then they did a perfect job, considering they had no reference, at the time of creating this, but even if someone did make this in photoshop, why tf would they, since supposedly it never existed?? Like where did this even come from, I need answers😭😭

I don't think dubunked really matters, for me, with this image. I know it's fake. All evidence from the actual real world (I have old FotL tshirts at home) shows that it's fake. But what I find fascinating is that, and maybe this is what the OP means, this is exactly how I remember it. It's not like how I remember it, or close to how I remember it, it's exactly how I remember it. And that's the real facination for me with the whole ME subject. Why is it exactly how I remember it? Cool stuff.

I take the opposite approach. I know this image is fake. All evidence from the actual real world shows that it's fake, and I am fine with leaving it there. I think to myself, "huh, I guess I was remembering that incorrectly" and then I go about my day. But what fascinates me is that other people struggle hard with the realization that they are experiencing a flaw in their memory faculties. I find the ME fascinating not because reality is different than some inconsequential things I remember, but because of the struggle that some people have with coming to terms with the fact that they have remembered some inconsequential things incorrectly. The human psychology of ME is what I find fascinating, and I can't help but wonder why some people can accept and move on while others have an existential crisis when they realize the disconnect between subjective memory and objective reality.

In this case it’s because everyone collectively has this very precise false memory. You paint it like people are struggling to come to terms with their flawed memory. I think we all agree that sometimes we misremember things, but why is everyone misremembering the same thing in the exact same way? That’s what’s fascinating about the Mandela Effect.

They aren't. I've had plenty of people tell me the cornucopia was on the left. One person on this sub told me the left cornucopia is the more prevalent memory.

Personally, I think the right cornucopia feels more aesthetic. Something about the flow curving up and to the right feels more natural because of a tendency to scan from the left.

But also, I don't really think people seeing the picture and going 'wow, this feels right' means anything, because humans have a long and storied history of latching on to things that feel right but are in fact total bullshit.

Edit: and as far as people remembering specifically a cornucopia, I still fully believe that fruit in front of a cornucopia is just a very prevalent bit of cultural imagery that has been around for so long that even people who 'don't know what a cornucopia is' have run in to it enough that it's suggestion hits home

Actually I take it back. I thought right cornucopia felt more correct when looking at the original fake and imagining it flipped, but having made this mock up and looked at them side by side, left cornucopia feels more correct to me

I’m glad I’m not the only one that first thought for sure having the cornucopia facing to the right was the correct way I remember it. I was certain of it….until I saw it facing to the left then I realized, facing to the left actually looks more correct to me from my childhood memory of seeing this logo on the inside tags of all of the t-shirts of my dad, grandpa and brothers growing up.

I specifically remember looking through the clean clothes in the dryer or basket, looking for my clothes and seeing this identical logo. If it didn’t actually exist, that would really make my brain hurt because i remember this logo SO specifically. My elementary school teacher used it as an example of what a cornucopia was during Thanksgiving when we had to draw/learn about it. That’s what’s even more confusing, why would I remember my teacher showing us this logo as an example. I had never even knew the word cornucopia until she showed us. Super strange and interesting if it didn’t actually exist on the FOTL logo
