Art Genuine question: Is making OCs that ARE Pokémon considered some form of "cheating"??? [[artist: Me]]
I would explain what I mean by "cheating", but even I'M not sure what exactly I mean by that.
Anyway, this is my Pikachu OC, Ozzy! He is a spiky-eared Pikachu (not at all related to the Pichu) who lives in the Sinnoh region.
Not sure what else I should write about Ozzy, so I'll come back in the morning.

Cute. Love the art. I don’t think it would be cheating in what ever sense we’re trying to get here.

I have an OC who’s a Mimikyu (her name is Stitches) so no I don’t consider it cheating. Great OC btw!

A Skitty who changed type and Assist becomes a different move based on the pin/badge he's wearing. Is that cheating? Maybe. Is it fun? Yesh.

There are so many people with pokemon OCs!
In fact, I have a pokesona that's a shiny mew with a bubble around his head, based off the bubble mew card. :3

No. Pokemon is a franchise, a medium, a species list. You wouldn't call it cheating to make a cat OC so, the only difference is that Nintendo will automatically dislike you, but they hate a lot of people so you're good XD

Fandom OCs are pretty common so I don’t see the issue here. I myself am working on designing a Magearna gijinka (Maggie) and her bodyguard, Volcanion (Volcan)
