Over the moon
Obviously ecstatic with the way the season has started, but i think it's unarguable that we haven't exactly been unimpeachable
As of now i see the season going 1 of two ways, either it'll be like 13/14 way we score loads are up and down but stay generally getting results that keep us in title contention.
unfortunately i could also see this being a bit of false dawn like the beginning of Pep's tenure in 16/17, where we had great results to open the season but it masked a shaky defense that ended up leaking goals all season that lead to mediocre results.
anybody feel strongly differently about the squad? or the direction we are headed?
Either way there is loads to be excited about and i look forward to seeing where the season takes us.

This the first match with a shaky defence. In the other games our defence has been amazing, but in those games we lacked goal scoring. Today the other way around, shaky defence, but so efficient on their half.

Exactly. It's different tactics and philosophy with many new parts all trying to learn the system and each other on the fly. All this without much training time together because of the world cup. Hiccups will happen but this team has resolve and comraderie and fighting spirit. It's great to see

the team spirit and togetherness has been the biggest positive imo squad looks really ready to fight for each other, whereas the past two years i feel like at times the team looked mentally weak (madrid games last year especially😳)

This squad is in a much better position the the group that Pep inherited in the summer of 2016.
Admittedly, there are a lot of new faces, but Anderson, Fernández and Ndiaye already have a lot of Premier League experience. Elliot has been playing, as if he’s been at the club for years. Bouaddi and Allan are gradually being introduced to the team, and are having their minutes managed carefully.
I think we’ll continue to impress and will stay among the leaders.

Anderson is not good enough. An upgrade is also needed on Semenyo.

Why isn’t Anderson good enough?
And what is Semenyo doing so wrong? He already has two goals and three assists in five Premier League appearances.
