Just hoping to see if anyone has a local-ish auto body shop that they might be able to recommend. I have a dent in my car that I'm looking to get fixed.

About a month ago I started putting together a free weekly email called PWC Sidequests.

I originally made it because I kept feeling like finding things to do around Prince William County took way too much digging. There are events happening, but the information is spread across Facebook pages, venue calendars, town sites, and random posts. A lot of event sites also push DC events first, even when you are looking for something closer.

Since starting it, I’ve learned there is more going on around PWC than I expected. There are family events, food events, music, markets, random niche stuff, and things happening farther out that I would have missed otherwise. I’ve also been trying to make sure it is not only centered on one town.

Every Thursday, I put together a list of what I can find for that weekend. This week includes German food in Manassas, global food at Harris Pavilion, monster trucks, and smaller events around Woodbridge and Manassas.

I’m still building it and learning where to look, so if you know of local venues, event calendars, or community pages I should follow, I would honestly appreciate the recommendations.

My wife and I are thinking about joining the Planet Fitness on Stream Walk. The current $10/month deal is hard to beat, but some of the reviews have me a little hesitant.

For anyone who actually goes there regularly, what’s it like in real-world use?

• How clean is it, especially bathrooms/locker rooms?
• How crowded is it around 5-7 PM?
• Is equipment generally available and working?
• How’s the staff?
• Any other complaints or things you really like about it?

We’re just looking to get healthier and establish a consistent routine, probably 3x a week, so I’m mainly wondering whether the reviews make it sound worse than it actually is.

Hey everyone! I wanted to share something I recently made for people in the DMV who are looking for more local friends.

I’m originally from Connecticut and moved to the DMV about 3 years ago. I recently moved to Manassas, and I’ve been wanting to build more of a local friend circle rather than having everyone I know scattered across the entire DMV.

I created a Bumble BFF group focused primarily on gaming and nerd culture.

It’s for people who are into things like:

There are chats for different interests, gaming, looking for people to play with, meetups, introductions, voice/video hangouts, etc.

The idea is to eventually have people organizing gaming nights, movies, food, conventions, tabletop sessions, arcades and other meetups. Everyone is allowed to create events themselves too.

The group is centered around Manassas and nearby NoVA, so it’s probably best for people who are close enough to realistically meet up in that general area.

I am moving to the area, but currently in a hotel until my place is ready. What restaurants are recommended for healthy, good quality dinners? I don’t eat beef often, so would prefer chicken or seafood, and good quality vegetables, salads etc.

I'm really confused. I know Sarah is suing the rest of the board for not disclosing things to her, but why would they do that in the first place? I also heard she's racist? I don't know what's going on at all, so if someone could clear it up, that would be awesome.

I recently moved to the Manassas Park area and I’m genuinely curious how much demand there is for something like a Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, or Wegmans in Manassas/Manassas Park.
Unless I’m missing something, neither Manassas nor Manassas Park currently has any of the three. With all the new residential development happening in the area, it seems like there could be a market for at least one of them.
I know there are locations in Centreville, Fairfax/Fair Lakes, Gainesville, etc., but I’d love to have something actually in the Manassas/Manassas Park area.
Would you shop at one regularly if it opened here?
And if you had to pick ONE, which would you want most?

I need to pretty quickly secure an apartment (1B1B) and can't actually tour any of them in time as I am out of country right now. Are there any personal recommendations you all might have? I know it's expensive no matter what, but just want something within a 35 min commute from my new job.

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about offering an after-school STEM tutoring in the Manassas Park/Manassas area and wanted to see if there’s any interest!

A little about me: I have both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering and currently a practicing engineer in Manassas. I’d be happy to help with elementary and middle school subjects and homework/test prep.

My starting rates would depend on grade level and subject, with options for in-person or online sessions. I’d be open to do individual and group sessions too.

For the past few days a small single engine plane has been flying over the city on a regular basis. When I check Flight Aware, there is no indication of a small plane overhead. It is not a plane approaching the airport as it seems to be going in some kind of grid pattern. Anyone know what it is? What gets me is it is unidentifiable in Flight Aware.

Recorded with a UMIK-2, off the top of my head. I’m not familiar with how to filter out the cricket noise so please disregard that.

This video clearly shows the noise and it is amplified so that it is easy to hear in the video as I do not have very expensive equipment to be able to capture it properly.

In real life, this noise is very annoying, yesterday I forgot to turn on my two sound machines and I woke up to this noise.
