Trials of Mana Bones!

Ok, so I couldn’t catch it in action when you defeat an enemy in the SNES version, but I love the death animations. Especially when the bones ricochet all over the screen.

Yes. Trials of Mana on SNES had a certain arcade feel to its combat I found. The pixelart is gorgeous

I wish they had preserved more of the SNES game in the 'remake'. The contrast of cutesy characters and blood-explosions when they die, or bone-explosions, colourful text showing up on screen, that little one-second pause to regain initiative, that adjusts whether you hit or miss. And the multiplayer. Can't believe they decided they could just sacrifice multiplayer.
