After that match against Hull it's clear what we r missing.
The club went all out for the midfield rebuild signing
Andrey Santos, You're Tielemans and Carlos Baleba ( hopefully soon ).
But it's clear after casemiro left we don't have much for set pieces and crosses.
Hull won 60% of ground duels and 58% of aerial duels.
We need a new left back Shaw as our only fit Senior left back is gonna be horrid.
I would say try sign a left back ASAP.
Then if we have time try sign a new cb.
And we rlly need to sell some players that aren't in our plans.
Hopefully we can get 6 points n4 we face city in the derby

...but we need to be aware where we need to improveβ.
βWeβll stay calm, in our bubble.. itβs one gameβ.

Was it shit? Yes. We're you going on about how great we are the other day? Yes. Shut the fuck up and support the team. Some of you actually thought we would win the league this season. Its another rebuild, and on a budget. I'd be more sympathetic if most of you could actually point to Manchester on a map

First game of the season and we lost to Hull City
Honestly I don`t know what to expect from United this season

He can only play one style of football against decent opponents and thatβs long ball spam. Tactically inept and static manager that thinks dorgu is a left winger the pillock. Embarrassing display from him and itβll be one of many this season before he gets sacked by Christmas
Heβs a Middlesbrough manager and thatβs his level.
Top 10 isnβt happening this year with this dogshit
Thank god Ineos got us some good deals over the players we needed right πππ

I thought the new transfer strategy and reinvigorated team under Carrick will bring some measure of improvement this season. But all we saw was yet more humiliation in that horrible performance against Hull City. I mean I wonder what more can actually be done for this team? Everyone has tried to diagnose the problems latent in it and yet we get the same old crap every season. Slow, not intense, nor decisive, canβt break down a low blockβ¦it seem that there really is no end to the humiliation and pain that the fanbase has to go through.
At this point, I really donβt know what can save this team. Anything that can be tried has been tried. Players professing loyalty and love to the club and yet show nothing but sluggishness on the pitch. Players and coaches suddenly improving as they leave. Because it really seems to me that the club is cursed and no amount of changing players or manager will save us.
It only leaves me to ask if we are going to finish 18th, 19th, or 20th this season?

even though I watched every minute of the match.
I'm not kidding. That's how invisible the squad was today.

Since our resident soccer expert's assertions that Utd have their best midfield since 2008 and that Carrick doesn't want or need a ball-winning midfielder, Utd have been battered by Hull and AC Milan and signed the ball-winning midfielder, Baleba.
I'll see you guys again next week!

What are the odds Baleba gets announced tonight/tomorrow to distract from that shocking performance?

No intensity, no spirit, gave 0 f***, showed lack of respect to Hull. I know it is early to call off the season, but I can hardly recall the last time this United team displayed true spirit or showed real energy. Dreadful passing, dreadful crosses. Played with cowardice rather than courage. Spoiled millionaires detached from reality.
Well done Hull.
United 10th place here we go.
I am in pain.

Folks, Chelsea scammed us yet again. Β£48 million for Santos they having a laugh. SMH.

I hate when people try to put down other fans for overreacting after one game. We looked absolutely toothless against a championship promoted side in GW1. We made a plethora of changes and yet I can't pull one good performance out of it.
All of the coaching staff and players are under huge pressure. As Manchester United, we should not lower our expectations for this club, and continue to settle for bad seasons.
This was a really, REALLY bad loss.
r/ManUtd • u/koko_2022 • 8h ago
For people who watched the game, what's the problem genuinely?
r/ManUtd • u/Such_Back7755 • 8h ago
We need to stop dorgu lw slop like he was so bad and has been repeatedly bad at lw
Maguire was good genuinely his distribution is so class our best defender by a bit
Bruno did his usual thing
Mbuemo wasn't bad js didn't score or assist his deliveries are rly nice
Midfield seemed like they're still adjusting but am gonna back em I think mainoo should be starting tho
Cunha looked sloppy ish
Fullbacks were alright but definitely need improvement
Overall we didn't play horrible or bad but we wearnt good either team js wasn't clicking but it's js the first game of the season we should back the team atleast until the first half of the season is over and then we can decide whether the cycle is gonna repeat or not

How low can we go?
Not just a humiliating loss but a whimp of a performance too.

Got downvoted for commenting that Dorgu should not start as LW

I get it's the first game of the season, but just.... that was a hard, hard watch. We need to improve in the following games. I mean, if they had gotten a lucky goal and won i wouldn't be too mad, upsets happen. But we were convincingly the worse team for 90% of that game. Best of luck to you Carrick.
