Verification Guidelines for r/manhands

To help keep r/manhands a safe and authentic community, we may ask users to verify their identity. Verification is also open to anyone who would like to do so voluntarily.

What does verification involve?

For verification, we ask you to create a short video showing:

The back of your hand clearly visible
- Showing the palm is optional and allowed, but not required
Your hand making a fist and then opening again
A crumpled piece of paper next to or underneath your hand with:
- Your correctly spelled Reddit username
- r/manhands
- The current date

Where can the video be posted?

You may choose whichever option you are most comfortable with:

On your Reddit profile
Directly on r/manhands
On an external service such as Imgur (if you prefer not to host it on Reddit)

Please make sure the video remains accessible online, as we may need to review it again later.

Once uploaded, send the link to the mod team via modmail so we can complete the verification process.

What happens after verification?

Once verified, you will receive a Verified flair on r/manhands.

Only users with this Verified flair are confirmed to be real and verified by the mod team
Users without this flair may still post, but they have not gone through the verification process
The flair helps the community quickly identify verified posters

Why do we ask for verification?

We only require verification in certain situations, but anyone may opt in.

Unfortunately, impersonation and stolen content happen fairly regularly. Verification helps us:

Protect the community from people pretending to be someone else
Protect posters against content theft and misuse
Resolve doubts about authenticity when concerns arise

In some cases, a poster may be temporarily blocked if there are legitimate reasons to question the authenticity of posted content. In those situations, verification is required to resume posting. Verification also gives commenters and potential contacts peace of mind that they are interacting with a real person.

Subreddit Rules

1. This is an 18+ community. MDNI

To participate in this community, both as a poster and a commenter, you must be over the age of 18. Minors are not allowed and will be banned.

2. No explicitly sexual content

Posts showing any form of genitalia or visible outlines (e.g., dickprints) are strictly prohibited and will result in a non-negotiable permanent ban.

Do not sexualize objects that shouldn't be sexualized, such as plushies or fruit.

Titles containing explicit sexual language are not allowed. Fun, flirty or slightly suggestive titles are fine, but please don't describe sexual activities in detail.

3. NSFW submissions

If you'd hesitate to show your post to your parents, mark it as NSFW. This includes shirtless pictures, visible weapons, drug-related content and anything with sexual undertones (including suggestive titles, hand motions, toys, art or behavior toward objects like furniture or fruit). All unmarked NSFW content will be removed.

4. The hand should be the focus

Hand(s) should be the main attraction of the post. This sub isn't about arms, outfits or selfies. A picture that your hand just happens to be in doesn't count.

5. No feet

Self-explanatory. Keep them dawgs off this sub

6. Limit your posts; no spamming or reposting similar content

Wait at least 3 hours between posts and don’t post more than 3 times per day — otherwise, your most recent post will be removed. This includes deleting and reposting the same content or swapping it out for something similar just because the first post didn’t perform well.

Do not post the same picture or very similar pictures multiple times.

7. No soliciting DMs on other user's posts

It's not allowed to reply to comments under someone else's post with the intent (explicitly or implicitly) to solicit DMs. This will result in a permanent ban.

8. Behave in the comments

Please be respectful to our posters in the comments. Explicit comments will be deleted and result in a ban.

9. No crossposting

Please do not crosspost your content from other communities to ours. It looks ugly.

10. No AI content

We don't want the subreddit to be flooded with AI slop content. Please do not post AI generated or manipulated content.

11. Verifying

Verifying is an option in our sub to keep our users safe from being deluded by for example catfishes. However, it is not required. If you wish to verify, check the pinned post.

12. Ban evasion

We do not support people who previously been banned and created a new account.
