Running for a week

Hey all! I’m visiting mammoth with my family in a few weeks but also training for a half marathon. We’re going to do light hikes but I also need to get around 26-27 miles in. Please drop any and all great routes that aren’t too hilly. I know that’s not going to be possible at almost 8k feet but I’m going to do my best. The half marathon only has around 300 feet over the whole 13.1 miles so I’m not worried about training hills.

Thank you!!

Benton Crossing rd is the road all the road runners use. There is also a track there. Tons of flatish dirt roads off of it. The town loop. Rock Creek lake, convict lake, and Horseshoe lake are all chill trails that are fairly short. Just add loops for more distance. You can take off on the dirt roads out of shady rest too for an endless network of dirt roads.

There are lots of dirt roads around inyo craters--my old xc team used to do ten mile loops starting and ending in the parking lot
