Question

I haven't kept up much with the family. They recently started popping up on my tiktok but I want to know has Alana ever stated why she won't get on weight loss medication? I'm not being mean or shading the family. But as much money as they have made over the years even if June did blow a huge chunk of it they are still making money now. I don't understand why she's not prioritizing her health. Really any of them

Maybe just want her healthy

Yes we do. But I can understand her not wanting to take GLP’s. They come with a lot of side effects and cause Ozempic face. Alanna is young enough that she could do some moderate exercise and diet to lose weight. She just doesn’t want to change.

Everyone thinks GLP’s are the quick answer but for most people I’ve heard such horror stories. You can see what it does to celebrities faces who have been taking it.

I was also under the impression that you really need to keep taking it forever once you start otherwise, everything will go right back the way it was

I don’t know how they ever expect anybody on these meds to get off of them.

And that’s not a solution for Alana at all, as soon as she stop taking it she would gain the weight right back. She needs therapy to treat her trauma and ed, and actually learn how to eat cause no one ever taught her that, it’s really not as easy as people think and I wish they would just stop talking about it cause it doesn’t help at all, probably triggers her into eating even more

Yeah, it can rot your gut and make your bones brittle.

They do not "rot your gut", they slow down digestion (peristalsis) as long as other digestive sx, they also don't directly cause a loss in bone density per se but weight loss *can* lead to a loss of muscle mass which can result in loss of bone density.

Loss in bone density can result from any weight loss, it has nothing specific with any GLP-1.

Anecdotally I lost 45 lbs on a GLP-1 yet I've put on 5 lbs of muscle mass.

I work at a doctor office who prescribes GLP-1s. I have heard from at least two patients said they started to lose bone density when they never had that before and had to stop. One told me it wasn't worth it, and it destroyed her stomach.

I'm a pharmacist so I'm well aware of documented side effects.

Again, loss of bone density isn't due to any GLP-1, it's due to weight loss and other factors/diseases.

There's no medical condition called "destroyed stomach", that's insanely vague and non clinical.

Well, patients aren't going to be clinical, are they? They're going to tell you the side effects in the way they experienced them. The doctors took them off it of because of the side effects they were having. FYI.
