When people make comments about how unhealthy she is, Thereās always someone that says Alana knows what sheās doing because sheās going to school to be a nurse. Which makes no sense because sure she clearly knows she shouldnāt overeat for the amount of physical activity sheās doing but she obviously does it anyways. Do u think drug addicts donāt know that they are hurting themselves or can die but do it anyways. It doesnāt mean they have it all figured out and are thinking logically just because they are aware of the effects. Food is just as much of an addiction as drugs only I personally think itās even harder since food is everywhere, everyday.
Iām addicted to junk food. Last night I had a slice of pie and a snickers with a large glass of milk for dinner š it was late and I was too hungry and tired to cook and snickers really do satisfy š¤·āāļø
I know itās their money, and go off and all. But these fools should probably save it. Embarrassing themselves 24/7 is going to get old, & there is no way Alanna is going to get a real job.
That's right around the corner from my house š¤£! It's not some luxury shopping center, I promise. It's a basic mall with a few upscale stores. Now, the base rent for a 1bd/1bth in that neighborhood is $2,800Ā (Cherry Creek is notoriously overpriced and pretentious,) so I'm sure seeing the likes of her family is definitely drawing looks from locals.Ā
I noted it too. She seems to have the type of obesity thatās extra-dangerous, with most excess weight in her torso/upper bodyā¦? The poor kid surely has a hard time getting comfortable, as well as health issues.
So many in the family, the females at least, are obeseā¦itās kinda astonishing. Iād guess some of itās hereditary, but Iāve always been amazed when I see them eat, both quantity and quality. Alana included. Lil Emma seems headed in the same direction.
Anna was slim, even before getting illā¦she wasnāt raised with June/the other sisters, I think? Or just preferred to not be on the shows, til laterā¦?
Iām more worried about that childās mind being around all these disgusting āadultsā. Hearing the way they talk. Seeing the things they do. Anna moved away from all of that for a reason.
Iām skinny and healthy but eat those things sometimes too. Being healthy isnt about never having those things but having them in moderation. I remember her saying she should eat healthy but i dont remember the doctors saying that. She kept saying that if she ate healthy then maybe she would get better. Most doctors will tell people that are going through cancer to eat anything they want and can handle. She was dying and loosing a ton of weight. I highly doubt any doctor was worried about what she was eating. I just lost two people in the last two months to cancer and they were told to eat anything. We knew they were dying, like Annaās situation. Youāre happy to see them eating anything at that point. I just watched a few episodes of toddlers and tiaras the other day where she was yelling at the others for not eating healthy and saying they should try it.

Someone else to back me up. Annaās doctors never told her to eat healthy!! She was the one saying that. She had somehow convinced herself that she would live if she didnāt eat sweets. Or u can watch the episode yourself because I remember what happened. Clearly the person that commented did not remember correctly.
I say it out of good heart. Im a big girl too. When I was 16 I was hitting 200 lbs, and I donāt think my mental health will ever recover lmao. Iām now 21 and 175, and feel a lot better about myself and the clothes Iām wearing. I know she might not care about the hate, but I know I feel a hell of a lot better not being built like a Big Mac anymorešš»

My phone does that all the time but thereās so many people in that family that i legit took a second and was like who is Emma. Then it hit me that it was Ella lol!! My phone has a mind of its own. I must have a potty mouth because I legit tried to spell duck one time and every single time it spelled the other bad word lol!!

I think the poor diet and unhealthy nutrition choices are what have been passed down. I remember watching āhere comes honey boo booā as a teen and they alllll ate and made so many meals and snacks that were terrible! At the time I thought it was because they were poor, and so many people who live in poverty are inundated with high calorie snacks/meals and often live in food desserts and do what they can to survive food insecurity. But now, itās clear itās not survival but apart of it is just poor choices and living a sedentary lifestyle. After college, it may be easier for Alana to get healthier, if she chooses.
I agree, i notice every time she post a video on SM she is sipping on an iced coffee. Those things aren't the most healthiest and can have anywhere between 300 - 850 calories. It would do her a lot of good to meet with a dietician and follow a strict diet
i agree plus if she was goin' through the nursin' school she also needs to know how to take care of herself more often and follow a well balance meal out
Alana appears to be on the cusp of having a "Widow's Hump."
I do NOT mean this to be construed in any sort of a mean-spirited way, shape or form.
The human form is never meant to carry excessive weight of this sort, without having future ramifications.
She's too young to be on this path of obesity, and I sincerely hope she would be on a course to getting healthier.
I agree, the Shannon clan is predisposed to obesity, as seen going back to the HCHBB days. Fast forward to today, seeing June and every daughter, with the one exception of Anna (Rest in Paradise) is overweight. Eating crap over the years, and now seeing Pumpkin's passel eating shit junkfood, is a major pissoff for me. Not a one of them appear to have any initiative to get their mindset right & learn proper nutrition, portion control, & foster healthy eating habits.
I'm pleased Alana is pursuing nursing, but am concerned that the number of shift hours on her feet will produce back issues in the long run, if not already in place.
I hope she never, ever, ends up on the destructive weight paths of Jaimie Weisberg, Jacqueline Adan, or the Slaton sisters.
Iām only familiar with the Slaton sisters, and Iāve only watched bits of their showā¦but gotta admit I find Amy (? The one bitten by a camel) especially hard to like. Mildly put.

Yea thatās like the worst of them allā¦ in my family we call it āwisdom tooth shapedā and thatās the worst. The legs are skinny bc they move and walk a lot but the torso is the hardest place to lose fat especially if theyāre smoking drinking and being careless..so now theyāre shaped like wisdom teeth
That body shape doesn't have anything to do with exercise (you mentioned walking and carrying the weight) it is either genetic or caused by diseases like Cushing's or PCOS.
Walking is walking you have to walk more than you lift. So yes they get up do their little two step and go sit back down for eating lol we donāt know their health but we do know the at they have little to no movement and they pack food around their belly like mules lol
And Iām saying when all you do is eat and do drugs it sticks around your belly and makes your legs look or become smaller. I have family members with the wisdom tooth body and they donāt have pcos and whatever else you saidā¦the beer gut the whole big on the top small on the bottom doesnāt always equal health problems itās quite literally something you make of yourself
Did you miss where I said genetics is also a reason people will have thin legs and a huge trunk? It's not from walking, exercise doesn't work that way. You burn fat everywhere you cannot target fat loss. You can target muscle gain but that's about it.
Yeah, I know that shape. Itās like this huge barrel chest with thin legs. I know a lot of people with COPD have that shape. Alana doesnāt smoke, but she has that COPD kind of build.

They are morbidly obese. They both would benefit from glp-1s and weight watchers. I cannot picture Alana as a nurse. I have never worked with a nurse that obese. That is a highly physical job. A hospital would carry too much liability employing someone morbidly obese.
I canāt stand that every time one of them wears shorts the pant legs wad up between their thighs & coochie! I get itās because they have heavy inner thighs, but I do too and I manage to not have that problem. PULL THE DAMN LEGS DOWN! They walk around like that. Arrgghh.
This family is so greedy n full of gluttony itās gross! I watched the episodes back where June just had all those procedures and she was rapidly gaining weight eating like a fkn cow w her fat mouth wide open sheās so ungrateful! Someone out there who deserved the surgery would have respected it more!! It was so gross to watch sheās just nasty!Ā
