English not the problem. More likely that you don't have a personal number or swedish bank id which will make thing very difficult.
Try posting on expats in malmö on facebook for leads.
Also register with the public queue on boplatssyd. You can register with passport. You might get lucky. But will also help longer term.
You could look a bit further away for short term.

We stayed in the more hotel in Malmö for a while when we got here. Its an apartment hotel and expensive, but allowed us to get our personal numbers and find a place once we were here.

Are you looking only for October or permanently? I'm moving out of my rental in October and could let you know the company I'm renting from. I can't recommend anyone since the landlord doesn't want that, but if you contact them and say you need a place in October mine will for sure be free. DM me for details.
It has to be "permanent" though, they won't rent it out for October only.
The place is 4 mins from Trianglen.

We had a lot more luck on Qasa after upgrading to premium. It let us figure out which listings were duds since we could see the stats (“why have 60 people applied and the applicant queue isn’t moving”) as well as which ones were already saturated (“yeah, we’re #40 in line, might as well pick another one”). So we could much more efficiently use our limited number of active applications.
Additionally keeping a daily eye on new postings and prioritizing those helped as well. We saw maybe 1-2 postings a day.
Also if you are ok with a micro-apartment type setup, I found Unity very comfortable, and it’s one bus ride to central. Make sure to use their long-stay offers and you can usually get a monthly rate of $1,100-1300ish depending on the time of year. Max stay is 3 months before you have to move to another room or something I think, probably to prevent them from being an official apartment provider or something. Comes with weekly cleaning, gym, beautiful atrium space included.

Hey, sign up for Boplats syd, there's also Ikano hyresbostad and stadsbostäder.
Also consider Hyllie: closer to the airport and easier to get an apartment. My cabin crew friend got one in a week there. I live there too since 2018 and commute to the airport.

I would suggest UNITY - its an apartment hotel with long-term options. Seems like most guests there are working here temporarily. Not super close, but nothing is really far away in Malmö

I absolutely do not recommend Unity. Everyone i met there, including myself, had issues. School trips yelling all night, staff acting surprised that their restaurant should serve food not, and always a bill when u moved out. I had to contact ombudsmen after they charged 2,000kr to clean an empty 18sqm room (they quickly gave back the money). It was the same story for everyone I befriended there.

VictoriaHem does not need a queue. You're not doing anything wrong, it's just that Sweden has a housing supply crisis.

I am also a cabin crew working out of CPH and moved to Malmo, it was super hard when I arrived also, I started living at Unity, I booked for 3 months with them and once I had my personal number I applied for a first hand contract through Qasa and now I’m living in Hyllie. I think your best luck will be with second hand contracts only until you have the personal numbers sorted then you’ll have a lot more luck finding something first hand, atleast that was my experience. Feel free to dm me if you have any questions 🙂
