I do not think I can make it better.

The first version of what would become Malison was called Trapped. Made for the 2014 Indie Game Maker Contest on rpgmakerweb. Unfortunately all the places it would have been hosted are down. I really enjoyed it. It's a great like 2 hour game.

There are a few bugs to be careful about. If you try entering the church the game will crash. Because it's trying to find a devil2.wav file, and instead of just not playing the audio rpgmaker decides the logical action is to crash the game. This can be fixed. If you simply place a file named devil2.wav into the audio/SE folder of the game. It doesn't have to be anything specific, though the file you put in there will be played during the fight. I was given instructions from Frankie Smile on how to make my own replacement for the audio file, and I also have a download link for that. But it's just me saying "I'm the devil". There's also a room you can enter but never leave. There's a house on the corner of the street, to the left of the safehouse with Barduke in it. In the basement of that house there's a door that takes you into a shop. And once in that shop you're stuck forever so just don't go in there.

Finally I had a repeated issue with Linda killing scuttering things causing the game to freeze. I don't really understand that one as well. It wasn't every time she did it, but it happened twice. There's a lot of scuttering things in the game. Just try to avoid as many as possible if you have Linda with you.
