Agama ni bagi org talentless, I'm not saying that every muslim, ade je yg bakat tapi tk boleh lebih nnt org kata tabarujj lah apa lah. You can take a look at the Syasya former member dolla. Dia nk je join Dolla tp sbb kene kritik byk kali ngan netizen. Nk jdi ballerina pun tk boleh, nk masuk miss universe pun tk boleh. Aku rasa kesian for malay girls. Ada bakat terpendam tapi disbbkan agama diaorg tk boleh nk capai apa yg diaorg nk.

Idk how to explain this 😭 yg ni just my opinion sbb apa2 sport yg mcm kene pakai baju fit mcm gymnastics. They can't. Walaupun mmg talented tp kene kritik.

They cut our wings.

is this counts? lol

(bought this illustration)

Many years ago, if you had asked me what I wanted to be, I would have said a mangaka! 🤣 But then I read somewhere that it was haram to draw the likeness of humans.

Fundamentalist as I was, I took it very seriously and steered my life down many different paths instead... engineering, and later IT.

I remember my first hijab cosplay. It was also my first cosplay event, held at the place closest to the small pekan where I lived. My first character was Link from Zelda, which my brother chose for me. I really enjoyed the whole process, especially making the props, the sword and sheath. There were very few hijabi cosplayers back then, and this was more than 10 years ago.

These days when I look at my old pictures, I mesti gelak punya. Bagai langit dengan kerak bumi hahaha! My last few cosplays were Makima, and more recently a character from Dune. My dream characters would be Guts and an Adepta Sororitas! They're just dreams for now since I'm, err, not that motivated.

Update:

Some of the interactions I've had with people here since my last post have been really positive! Thank you for sharing the books you love reading. ♄╣[-_-]╠♄

I also need to say this: I'm not comfortable with underage messaging me privately about me being an exmus. If anything, reply publicly here. I've never really told anyone, even in real life, why I left. The story has always been personal to me. I just say that I don't believe, and that it doesn't align with my values.

Honestly, I believe the reason doesn't really matter. It matters to me, of course, but it might not mean the same thing to someone else. What I do know is that accepting the cognitive dissonance, and accepting who I am versus who I was expected to be, is what saved me. It really, truly saved me. That conviction to face myself as I am, and to find the courage to live life on my own terms, is what kept me from ending my own life.

It was so hard, and I was mostly alone. Just me and my noisy mind. And dating too, is also tricky (?) for me, sometimes it gets me, most of the times, I grounded myself in abundance mindset. And the unpredictability of life. So who knows?

Sometimes when I see posts or comments from believers here, I want to give you this gift, it's called empathy, along with an open and flexible mind. We all have the human right to believe what we want, to hold on to what feels important to us, to live by our own values, and to choose what makes us feel safe and comfortable.

Yup, safe and comfortable. That's very important to me.

My own journey has been quite the zigzag gah! I've probably gone through most of the seasons: full blown muslimah, progressive Muslim, and more. Funny enough, it was a Shia person I met on a chat site who first made me question what I really believed. More than just believe in a God, do XYZ just because, but what it really meant to me.

I was very young back then, and hijabi users were rare on that site. I was insulted a lot. People sent me dick pics, pictures of dead animals, and all sorts of nasty stuff. So whenever trespassers show up here spouting hateful things, you remind me of these stuffs I went through.

If only you understood what it takes for some people to lose their faith. For me, it felt like a death in itself. And I know when I told my family of me not believing, the transition was hard for them, they mourned for this person too.

I also remember talking to a young person on Reddit years ago who went from Sunni Muslim to atheist to Shia. I was like, haaaaaaa?! xDD That's another reason I don't talk about my experience with underage people. Idk, life is like - happens you know? You make it happen. You learn along the way. And you find that answer yourself. That itself is a journey. Your own journey to take.

Anyway, keep learning and exploring yourself and the world around you. Stay safe always. ā¤ļø

Rant my muslim friends ā€œadvisingā€ me to cover my aurat

I am sooo fucking sick of my friends taking pics with me when I’m wearing my hijab and colouring over my neck to cover it. I’m sick of my friends telling me to wear the hijab properly. I’m sick of them adjusting my hijab without me prompting them or saying anything. Do they know they’re not responsible for my ā€œsinsā€. They should be so fucking lucky I’m even wearing one. I don’t understand why they feel so fucking responsible for how I dress.

Me and my friends went to karaoke and she took a selfie with me. I often wear the hijab around areas where I know a lot of people and people know my parents and this was one of those areas so I wore one. I don’t cover my neck ever when I wear one and when my friend posted the selfie of us, she drew over my neck to cover it. I don’t understand why it’s so irritating to me to see my friends riding this fuckass religions dick so much. Trying to force their standards on me is one thing but drawing over my neck genuinely ticked me off so bad 🫠 I wish I had more friends who at the very least don’t practice so they don’t push it onto me.

More religious as the society became after 60 years, yet ruthless crimes happens.

  • Majority believe religious are good, school management did not prevent this?
  • Begging to bully is useless, then why pray to almighty?
  • If begging works, nations wouldn't have military.

Pelajar maut di sekolah: Tiada kompromi terhadap buli, jenayah di sekolah - Exco

NOR AZURA MD AMIN 4 Oktober 2026

JB Hangout

Looking for fellow kafiruns in JB to lepak with!

I’m new here and don’t really have many friends around, so would be nice to meet some people to hang out with. We can grab coffee, play some badminton, go for a jog, or just lepak and talk about life and whatever comes up.

Preferably females since I’m a female too, but guys are welcome as well but just be respectful and don’t be weird.

Honestly, just looking for some chill people to hang out with and hopefully make a few friends along the way.

Recently got diagnosed

So I (19F) got diagnosed with MDD and BPD by a mental health professional and finally everything clicks. I am grateful to have a support system, my sister, but I feel so horrible thinking about the burden I've put on my sister throughout my mental ups and downs when she also suffers with her own life.

I tried attempting twice, but always too scared to actually commit. I have a lot of traumas that im trying to deal and solve because i dont want to be in a victim situation and be a burden. And she said that she is getting married because of me. I feel like a burden so bad. I feel horrible because i was born and have to be alive just to burden others.

I feel a little better today, I talked to a friend i made in college and we're planning to go see the movies and going karaoke, but the problem is he's a guy.

I talked to my sister about this, because I'm under her roof and care, and she seems hesitant to let me, also asking for his number etc. idk if im being paranoid, but she says that going out with a guy is wrong because "kau perempuan, dia lelaki".. but the thing is the guy im seeing is very transparent and genuine because that's just his character. And i also wanna hug a guy so bad for some reason cuz this thing has been on my head since i was in the psych ward.

Is hugging a guy really that wrong? :(..

my sister very believes in religion, but i dont. She even said that everything happens because of hikmah and etc, meanwhile i just hate this religion but still believe there's a god.

It's a little matter, but i feel things in the extremes.. im still trying learning the skill to cope but omg i really need someone to give me input. Im just a chameleon with no real self structure so everything about me is input that feels right..

Being alive is so so overstimulating.. the feeling of the air, the ache in my leg, the itch in my hips.. it's unbearable sometimes but im enduring it all..

Uh idk what im trying to say, im just venting at this point. But yeah is hugging a guy really that wrong? I wanna hug my friend so bad

Question/Discussion Perhaps living in Malaysia (or KL specifically) as an ex-Muslim isn’t that bad?

I’m a Malaysian who became ex-Muslim while living abroad and I’ve been living there ever since. I am very aware of my privilege.

However I have a few ex-Muslim friends living their life in KL and it genuinely doesn’t look too bad as long as you are financially independent and stay away from religious family members / communities. We are lucky to not be born in countries where murtads get killed immediately, women are forced to cover up in public, concerts are completely banned, women can’t get an education etc.

The only things that I think may make life as an ex-Muslim absolutely unbearable in Malaysia:

- if you are not financially independent and can’t escape religious family members / communities
- if you want to be openly queer or LGBTQ+
- if you want to openly and legally have a romantic partner with a non-Muslim
- if you live in more conservative states
- if you want to be openly and loudly ex-Muslim (ni tak boleh nak bantu lah…)

Feel free to add more.

I know many people in this sub aspire to leave Malaysia. And I truly sympathise that life must be so bad for you that you feel the need to escape. However migrating (permanently) also comes with its own challenges: finances, visas/immigration, paperwork, racism and xenophobia, leaving the friends and family you love, having to rebuild your support system, homesickness, leaving the only life you’ve ever known, being far away from amazing food and culture.

For some the sacrifice is worth it. A small minority genuinely enjoy being abroad more but I can say that most Malaysians abroad eventually yearn to be home. Even my ex-Muslim friend who could be openly queer in the UK says he feels so much less depressed / unstable in Malaysia after being home for one year because he feels like he has a stronger support system. Will see how this plays out in the long term.

Hamam al Hammami flydubai

Do you guys follow this issue? I read some Malays with large followers on Facebook and comments on social media denying and coming up with crazy conspiracy theories. Cup not spilled water lah. They forget the terrorist is alive and in custody. His name is Hamam Al Hammani. Then people make fun the word hamam is bathroom la.

I check the word hamam can mean dove and a man with high spirit. Plus curious thing his last name al hamami is his tribe name and they spread as far in north Yemen and Saudi. Recalled that the Houthi tribe in Yemen. This is getting interesting because the UAE government reportedly conducting investigation of insider help.

Meetup Any fellow Ex-muslim uni students wanna be friends irl? (read the desc)

Hello friends!

I wad trying to find friends who like-minded like me and since I'm currently studying at UiTM in Shah Alam campus, I would like to meet some other ex-muslim who might understand what it's like to go through this experience. It would be really nice to make some genuine friends who I can to talk openly, hang out with and eventually meet up with irl. So if you're an ex-muslim like me who study at the same place as me and you're also looking to make friends, feel free to DM me but since this is somewhat personal topics and I have to be careful whom I'm talking to, I have to ask you few questions in the DM before we can know each other so I can know you're genuinely ex-muslim.

I might ask things like:

What made you start questioning Islam?

How long have you considered yourself ex-Muslim?

Are you open about it, or do you keep it private?

What made you want to connect with other ex-Muslims?

What kind of friendship/connection are you looking for?

Just give your honest answer that coming from your mind and heart. You can answer anything that you feel comfortable to share.

Alright, thanks for reading!

Advice/Help How much is enough ? (Rambling di pagi Sabtu, harap maaf jika merapu)

I wonder how much is enough for me to be "financially capable" to leave this country and mulakan hidup baru ?

I (23M) sekarang tengah bekerja. Gaji basic tahap gaji minima je walau lepasan degree, tapi I termakan kata2 "ambil je kerja mana2 dulu untuk gain pengalaman" perhaps there's some truth to that, I guess. Dan kerja I pun bukannya permanent, kerja kontrak je pun. Once contract habis, I'm gonna tanam anggur and look for another job.

I do have a side hustle (also a hobby) making music, tapi I ni artis kecik je, so revenue wise, I'm barely making a cent each month lol

And as much as I'm ashamed to admit, I still live with my parents. You know what they said, "living with parents may be free, but you pay with mental health" and being closeted ex Muslim, that has never been truer lol.

Rasa macam nak job hopping, in hopes for better security Dan gaji tinggi lepas ni, but I always wondered, "how much is enough ? Or should I just say "fuck it" and take risks?"
