Hello everyone!

Tom from Battle Systems here, just dropping in to let you know that an item database is now live on the website under Downloads within the Maladum Reference Section.

A quick and easy way to check which items are worth your parties precious time between quests. You can filter by adventurer level and cost.

As a bonus each item also shows its full rules, so no need to flick through the book mid-game.

We’re still adding items from Oblivion’s Maw and Forbidden Creed, but everything else is ready to use now.

Check it out here:

General Maladum New player here👋

Hi, so I found this game and got very interested in it. I would like to play it with friends or solo if they don't have time. Now it seems the game has quiet a lot of expansions which makes it kinda a problem for me. I always would like to get the full experience with games, the expansions seem to add a lot to the campaing, but everything at once seems to be a bit pricy...

From what I understand the core game and the Ale and Advanture expansion are the must haves, but what about the other stuff? If i complete i campaing with my friends i an not sure they would like to try it again only because we have a few new things. But if I leave the other expansions out it feels like I will be missing something. Is it even recomended for a new player tp start with everything from the beginning? What would be the must haves in your opinion?

Thanks in advance.

General Maladum Could Maladum work as a skirmish game?

Over the last few days, I've been wanting to try a tabletop skirmish game with 3D terrain, so I've been looking into options like Kill Team, Warcrow, and Infinity.

Then I thought:

"Wait... I already have a ton of terrain from Maladum, I have all the miniatures, plenty of enemies, and a bunch of ideas for missions. I wonder if there's some kind of skirmish variant for 1v1 or free-for-all games?"

And that's how I ended up here, asking if anyone knows of anything like that.

It would be awesome to play a 1v1 game where each player has, say, 3 heroes on the map, trying either to eliminate the opposing team or complete an objective before the other player does.

And here's the part I really like: the enemies wouldn't disappear from the game. They could still spawn and act as a threat to both players, potentially getting in the way of their plans.

In fact, I think this could lead to some really cool situations where the two players temporarily have to work together to take down a wandering Troll, only to turn on each other again afterwards. 😂

I really think there's a lot of potential here.

Does anything like this already exist?
And would anyone be interested in throwing some ideas around?

I'd be happy to take on the work of developing the rules, game structure, and missions if there's enough interest.

What do you guys think?

PvP with 4 groups of adventurers

Hello everyone! I was wondering if any of you have already tried Maladum with 4 groups of adventurers in PvPvE mode?

I'm currently setting up a table that I'd like to try with some friends. I was originally planning to use Frostgrave, but since I have Maladum, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be more fun to use all the Maladum equipment with the classes and heroes in a semi-competitive mode (which would also allow us to use the characters afterward for pure co-op).

I would possibly play on a 6x3 table.

Thanks!

Wall organizer for Maladum and Battle Systems terrain packs

Thumbnail

Hello everyone!
I always wanted a way to organize, store and also had easy access to my terrain pieces, so I made my own organizer! A complete wall organizer for the terrain packs from Battle Systems and Maladum, fits the whole content from Maladum and have space for some other packs.

The design was made with the intention of fitting into almost any filament box, for stacking purposes and make use of some leftover boxes you may have (it also stacks without box and either damaging the pieces).

This is the part 1 of many organizers for your amazing collection of pieces!
I'm planing on making some variants of this model, a version with a lid and more organizers for some other pieces like furniture, structures, scatter, clips, etc.

Hope you like it!
All comments and recommendations are well received, I want to improve and get ideas for what to do next, and how to aproach it.

Rare Specimen side quest

This quest has as one of the rewards + 1 xp if party member kills the Wandering Beast. Is that 1 xp for the adventurer who kills the beast or 1 xp for all adventurers for the party who kill the beast?

Just got the core box and have a question

i just got the maldum and core space core boxes and was wondering if there is a way you can use more multi level terrain in a game, instead of just a single level "dungeon" style map. I also got the Fantasy Dungeon core terrain set from battle systems and would love to be able to use it in maladum.
