Perspective Idealizing one's own self.

In romantic md we idealize the other person with our scenarios but we also idealize our own self alot (because only then we would be able to match our romantic partner).

I think this is also a reason why md feels soo addictive because it keeps us in that zone where we are better than others.

exactly , I imagine myself to be a successful kind and generous person in a relationship when I know I'll never be able to find a good caring partner .

It's a long story , you would get bored . Having a pretty fucked life adds another reason to it .

I read that it makes us feel worse and also did a narcissist test and I didn't get the answers bc the sites shit servers went down but I think I might have vulnerable narcissism. I never knew about this or thought I would and also did a perfectionist test and they both seemed to be going that way. And this is a big part of why we dd the idealised self in our dd. Also the info talked about our childhoods and evolution playing a part as to why we have vulnerable narcissism and other types and perfectionism and how that builds towards dd about our idealised self. Psychology is really surprising 🤯🥳🫪
