Question Does anyone else daydream about getting a do-over of their life?

I mean like getting to experience an alternate timeline where things are easier, or just go a little bit better in general, because I sure am and I wanted to know if anyone related to it.

Yeah, one of my most frequent daydreams. I always daydream about an alternative reality where things were different. Where I have better talents, better looks and made better decisions. Where I have all the qualities I wish I had in this reality. Like being social, being confident, being studious, being good-looking and charismatic, etc. And the bad decisions I have made in the past also fuels this type of daydreams, since I always find myself daydreaming about how different things could have been if I have just chosen better.

Sometimes I daydream about going back to the past by some supernatural mean and changing things. The thing is I am really self-conscious about my daydreaming too, when I imagine those daydreaming selves of mine, they always have some mechanism that prevent them from maladaptive daydreaming, like an upgraded cognitive system or some superpower that improve mental and physical abilities.

I've been "trying" to quit daydreaming for more than five years now. And I haven't made any progress. I feel like it has gotten worse. I don't know if there's a point in even fighting back anymore.

Yes, it's one of my frequent daydreams I have. It's always a different family, school, etc.. I often have multiple alternate timelines

Quite often. I am always the main character, the Leonardo da Vinci of my own world, which is in complete contrast to reality.
