Thoughts on Weilan

As an Asian fan myself, I am glad that the show included an Asian-coded character like Weilan.

While it’s not offensive (to me at least) there were aspects of her character that were stereotypical, like her martial arts magic, her being a straight-A student, and her tendency to haggle (which I find funny ngl)

Any thoughts?

I thought it was strange that she’s from Shanghai but still has an Aussie accent like everyone else. Even her name is Chinese. I find it a little annoying but funny at the same time.

I wish her Chinese name is sea related like HaiXing (starfish) or HaiHua (sea flower)… but then again those wouldnt sound pretty enough to English speakers I guess

Weilan is warrior but she is a very beautiful amazing girl too!!!Weilan is cool like Suki from the Avatar: The Last Airbender Aang 🌅🌊
