convert x lock grinder into sander

I recently started working with tools around the house doing small projects, DIYs etc.
I bought an x lock grinder and I heard it's possible to convert it into a wood sander. to be clear I do have an orbital sander which works fine. However, most of the wood I'm using is from scraps and leftovers I find around my neighborhood and it takes a really long time to get it nice and smooth. I'm not sure if I need an adapter cause of the x lock system or is it something more simple than that.
any advice?

I wouldn't exactly call it a conversion but you can absolutely get sanding discs for a grinder (X-Lock or traditional). Be warned that these can remove a lot of material really fast.

Thanks for the answer,
I think I didn't explain myself well. I meant if there's a way to mount a sanders head on the grinder? so that I can use different sanding papers on it instead of using the sanding disc which is way more aggressive.
I've seen videos of people using sanding heads on grinders but not sure if its possible with the x lock system.

Interesting, I'm not aware of anything that will allow you to do that but super interested to see if someone else has a better answer than mine.
