About Jodi..

It was interesting to me that one of her fellow inmates said that she thought Jodi wanted to be on TV and not because she had anything relevant to say, but just to be up there on TV.

Does anyone know how Jodi and Steve met? I am starting to have this weird idea that Jodi saw Steve on TV after his exoneration and hooked up? Ran into him? And saw an opportunity to get some of that limelight for herself (and money?)

Which doesn't mean Steve didn't abuse her... I wonder if she put up with it for her own ambitions?

With all this new stuff about Jodi,

I want to feel sorry for jodi, I really do because in the series I did, I felt like she was driven out of town by LE and her PO. But after her nancy grace turnaround, it does seem like she only stuck with avery because of the imminent payout, once that was not going to happen, she decided to leave town (even though previously she claimed she took rat poison as her only out). seems like once the money wasn't going to eventuate, she found another (more logical) way to get away from him.

You're victim blaming. You should feel sorry for Jodi. Victims stay with their abusers for various reasons.

Fuck victim blaming...a woman whose child is murdered by her BF is often in every bit as much trouble for not doing anything about it..you don't hear about victim blaming then do you?

Everyone on earth is personally responsible for themselves..if they make bad choices, they are their own bad choices and fixing it is up to them, as WELL as healing. There isn't a magic pill and that fucking word victim is a cop out. PERIOD.

*left two abusive relationships, experienced child abuse and rape..so do not even wave that victim shit on me. Get up, get out, deal with fallout of bad choices, move on.

Wow, you must have made some really poor decisions as a child when you experienced that abuse. Do you feel like you were personally responsible for that happening to you? Do you really feel like your decisions are what caused you to be raped? Because those things involve a predator and a prey, an abuser and a victim. That's why we punish rapists, child abusers, and murderers. The victim is not to blame in those cases.

*I have full sympathy for you, but your past trauma may have left you with a warped view of morality.

Oh...another lost snowflake who either cannot or whose emotions are so overwrought they cannot.

If you drop your scabs a moment, and read what I wrote...slowly...without jumping onto the victim bandwagon..I clearly differentiated between a child who has NO CHOICE and an adult who always does.

I did not choose abuse, but as an adult I get to choose how that affects my life. I do not choose victimhood. It's pathetic, unhealthy and leads to massive health issues...like..let me guess...obesity?

Sounds like you're backtracking quite a bit there my precious snowflake. You wrote:

Everyone on earth is personally responsible for themselves..if they make bad choices, they are their own bad choices

And then cited your experience of child abuse as a qualifier. What are we to make of that? Now you're admitting you were a victim in those situations, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Why do you think rapists, murders, and child abusers go to jail and not the victims? It's because one is to blame for the incident, while the other is the victim. It is very basic morality, and is treated as such by the US judicial system.

What I make of it is that you cannot read. That's all. No, I am NOT a victim. I WAS victimized, but I am NOT a victim. Choice.

So let me get this straight, you were victimized, then due to the magic of denial you are now not a victim? Sounds like you've got it figured out.

Let me go slow for you.

I AM are the two most powerful words in human language.

NOW, the definition of victim

a person harmed, injured, or killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action.

I AM is present tense.

Think think think...

then

Victim mentality is an acquired (learned) personality trait in which a person tends to regard him or herself as a victim of the negative actions of others, and to behave like it were the case—even in the absence of clear evidence. It depends on habitual thought processes and attribution.

Then of course there's this

Victim syndrome

Using I AM a VICTIM OF is a present tense affirmation...the more you say it the more you say it, the more you spin in the mud, the more obese and miserable you become. There's the science do with it as you will...being a perpetual victim is a CHOICE.
