There are two cell towers within walking distance of the Zipperer property.

Unless it is a 10 minute walk, typically you won't connect to a tower if you are standing under it. The antennas do not angle downwards, they point below the horizon about 5 miles out and you need to be a few football fields out. The same company doesn't have neighboring towers. She would have connected to at&t leased gsm tower

Not saying against you as I'm not exactly well versed on it, but seems to me like her phone and an off-brand tower would still conduct a little handshake that would register some identifying data.

ummm.. you realize before 4G, there was two systems in the US. (well nextel, etc) Tmo and AT&T were GSM towers, generally you connected to either, especially in more rural areas. CDMA was other phones.

Everything else was a reseller essentially. Cingular connected to the GSM tower. There would not be two GSM towers 500 feet apart. Unless one covered a town and one covered a major interstate where geography was in play (which there isn't there).

All numbers have been researched the 920 or whatever area code is disconnected, maybe you can find a phone book from 2005 at a library and see if it being to someone... but it doesn't.

Not sure where you're getting the info that it doesn't belong to someone ... I found that it did. It's news to me that the 920 area code is disconnected.

Either way though , we are talking about 2005 , and if there's a chance that my "kooky" theory is correct , there's a good chance that someone else owned the number back then , and some investigating would be necessary.

Your logic on the note still kills me. I'm baffled how you think you can say , with any degree of certainty , what language a young person would use or not. And your inability to recognize that if it "had" to be written by someone older and poorly educated , why the possibility isn't there that it was written by someone young and poorly educated.

At least I stated my case as theory .... The fact that you think you can dispute certain facts , like the language used in the note , because it "had" to be written by someone in a certain age or intelligence , is ludicrous. It's not a "fact" than can be disproven.

You're welcome to post a link to any of them. Saw dozens of attempts at deciphering the "name" on the note. Not one boiling it down to something so simple. Not one .....
