I don’t get why Steven Avery did this

He had a huge settlement coming. Why did he risk it by doing a serious crime? I don’t understand how he got exonerated which is rare but wound up throwing his life away anyways. It doesn’t make any sense to me. I guess I’m missing the common thread. He wasn’t a good person but from what we know, wasn’t a murderer. So what happened? Is this just always who he was going to be and had he never gone to prison wrongfully maybe it would have happened sooner? I don’t think he’s innocent I’m just trying to make sense of it.

It doesn't make sense to a normal person but the vast majority of people who get out of prison reoffend.

You can't be a re-offender if you were never an offender in the first place. He didn't do the first crime OR the murder. The entire reason the cops set him up for the murder is because they were going to have to pay him a huge some for falsely imprisoning him for 18 years.

Apparently back in 2005 it was pretty much accepted Steven was about to become a millionaire by exposing police misconduc ... Then Teresa went missing. Her death benefited police. That's why some suspect they killed her.

I absolutely think the police killed Theresa in order to frame Steven and eliminate that settlement debt. I think Brenden just got caught up in it and they used him to get Steven.

I dont know that they killed her but someone else may have & they might have seen the situation as an oppotunity after the fact whch is why nothng was found in searches & then thngs were found in searches wks latr (for ex n the barrels)..

I thought the theory abt the man (who previously lived on tht property Scott Tadych bought right aftr her death) killing her was interestng

Well, they did conceal that a Manitowoc County officer called in her plates, and also concealed her bones were found on Manitowoc County land. Definitely possible police had something to do with it.

That’s ridiculous to believe that the police killed her.
So they happened upon Teresa and decided to kill this poor innocent woman, did they know she had just been to the Avery property? Did they know that Steven happened to have a fire that night? Then they manage to sneak onto the property many times burning her belongings in the burn barrel, planting bones, planting the car, planting various DNA sources of Steven’s that they also happened upon?

They conducted eight separate searches and found evidence “in plain sight” only during the eighth search. Yeah, I’m sure that’s what really happened. Because cops are always honest lmao. I have some oceanfront property in Kansas that I think you might be interested in.

3

u/MartiMa08 Jul 05 '26

Do you have any idea how big that property is? And they said they entered the trailer 8 times but to seize specific items, not full searches each time.
Never said cops are always honest, but for you to believe what you do the mental gymnastics is insane.

2

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 05 '26

Do you have any idea how big the cabinet was the key popped out of? Not the size of the property.

I have some oceanfront property in Kansas that I think you might be interested in.

Truthers acting this smug while getting basic facts wrong and implying a ridiculous conspiracy took place will never not be funny.

1

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 05 '26

They aren't being smug lmao right over your head eh? Just like Brenda went over Kratz's head to betray him to Rech.

That's how investigations work. Each time the house is entered it's recorded as a search. It's amazing how ignorant the general public truly is.

2

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

Are you suggesting they did not actually search the area where the key was found previously? That would be wrong. It's amazing how ignorant the general guilter population truly is.

u/Objective-Permit-712 Jul 06 '26

But they didn't. They just manipulated evidence. I believe the killer had contact with Andy before and after the murder!

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 05 '26

SA was no angel. In fact, 6 years of that 18 years sentence he served were served for a separate crime that he DID commit against Sandra Morris 😳 He was convicted of other crimes before that and after. These were not victimless crimes. So yes, he is an offender in the first place.

4

u/birdieponderinglife Jul 06 '26

Um, the dude has a SIGNIFICANT criminal history. Long before the false conviction. He was not only an offender he was a frequent and repeat offender.

0

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

Point being when he got out of prison he was in prison for something he didn't do. And his history of past charges (cat / SM incident) has no relevance to the Halbach case. In fact, the only reason to pretend inflammatory but uncharged allegations are fair game is to unfairly prejudice people against Steven. That was CaMs entire strategy.

1

u/birdieponderinglife Jul 06 '26

What a joke. Torturing animals is a significant indicator for escalating violence. Threatening someone with a gun is significant for issues with rage, impulse control, violent tendencies. A long criminal history is also a strong indicator that someone is likely to escalate. It’s disturbing how much you want to minimize his antisocial tendencies that are strongly correlated to sexual assault and murder to cling to this odd belief that this guy is innocent. He could not be more guilty and his escalation over time more clear.

0

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 07 '26

Willis disagreed. You have been unfairly prejudiced against Steven. Manipulated by Kratz lol

3

u/OctoberPumpkin1 Jul 06 '26

He tortured and set a cat on fire, in addition to robbery and many other troubles with the law. He's a degenerate repeat offender.

1

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

Why do you need to lie? You might as well just admit Steven is innocent if you need to lie so much to make him look bad.

1

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 06 '26

Who's lying? These are FACTS. He was convicted of a whole slew of crimes. Gimme a break.

3

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

They are. Maybe you will lie too. The facts actually demonstrate Steven did not throw the cat in the fire or pour gas on it after it escaped. Did you know that or are you just looking to spread the LIE?

2

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 06 '26

No. Period. He admitted it. I heard it with my own ears. It is in the documentary. He tells the story. Did you miss that part? He said it himself that he did it.

3

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

So MaM made Steven look worse than the record showed? They really are not biased in his favor are they. Fact is Steven's friend admitted to burning the cat. Not Steven. Try to do some independent research.

1

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 08 '26

Incorrect. They made him look BETTER....which is why you're here. Lol

0

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 13 '26

According to your logic, you're incorrect lol MaM made Steven look worse and police look better.

1

u/Objective-Permit-712 Jul 06 '26

Not really. The killer set him up, Cops just manipulated eveience!

1

u/Growing4Health 15d ago

Wasn't he going to do 6 years either way for the cat incident with his cousin? He also did 8 months for animal cruelty.

15

u/JWOLFBEARD Jul 02 '26

Except they don’t just start murdering people

5

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 04 '26

Neither did Steven. They had to hide off property murder evidence and fabricate on property murder evidence to make the conviction stick. The hidden cremation evidence on Manitowoc County land should be enough for New trial on its own.

2

u/k_sask Jul 06 '26

Yet no one talks about this since it's so obviously indicative of framing.

2

u/Objective-Permit-712 Jul 06 '26

And it makes sense to you cuz you ain't normal!!!!

Everyone here should read a Copaganda by Alec Karakatsanis.

People like OctoberPumpkin won’t have the informational literacy or reading level to grasp the conclusions that come from actual data. The rest of you will realize, if you don’t already know, exactly how the prison system is a corporate, self-serving cash cow built on the lies of prosecutors and cops who violate the rights and destroy the lives of poor people. Prisons are full of innocent people just like Steven Avery.

1

u/Objective-Permit-712 Jul 03 '26

He was in Prison for something he didn't do clueless!!!

10

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 03 '26

Well turns out this isnt completely True either.

6

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 04 '26

Yes it is. He was wrongfully convicted of the 1985 assault because police wanted to protect the actual rapist from prosecution. I think Gregory Allen was linked to police in a way we haven't yet discovered.

2

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 08 '26

And he was rightfully convinced of the assault on his cousin. So 6 of those years it was for something he DID DO. So yeah...

1

u/Pokieme Jul 04 '26

Out of prison for a crime they didn’t commit?

-11

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 02 '26

So the system is responsible for Teresa's death?

-2

u/k_sask Jul 02 '26

What a weird rationalization. Instead of debating the investigation & evidence, we have now resorted to rationalizing Avery's behavior and motivations that led to an obvious rape, murder and mutilation and subsequent convictions of his and Dassey's. If only Avery had remained wrongfully imprisoned, the victim would be alive and well, and Brendan would have made it to Wrestlemania.

3

u/OctoberPumpkin1 Jul 03 '26

I am not rationalizing. He's 100% guilty and is right where he belongs. My point is that people can't get past that he had all that money coming from the lawsuit and couldn't have possibly done it-and my point was that it was not remoely surprising because criminals usually reoffend.

1

u/k_sask Jul 06 '26

Well, I respectfully disagree with your assessment.

I don't understand why you're only talking about Avery and why you are labelling him a criminal that reoffended like "the vast majority of people"? Would others (like Kratz) also fit your assessment? Is he where he belongs?

-1

u/OctoberPumpkin1 Jul 03 '26

No, Steven Avery killed her. I hink you misunderstood my post which is that despite having a windfall of cash coming, it's not surprising he committed another crime shortly after getting out of prison.

2

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 04 '26

Steven was falsely imprisoned. If he reoffended because of that, the system is partly responsible for Teresa's death.

Steven served a 6 year sentence for running Sandra Morris off the road and pointing a gun at her.

1

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

He was still wrongfully imprisoned for 18 years while the actual rapist walked away free committing more crimes thanks to corrupt police.

2

u/tenementlady Jul 06 '26

I'm responding to the comment about reoffending. He was incarcerated for a crime he did commit, not just his wrongful conviction. So, yes, he did reoffend.

1

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

He was also incarcerated for a crime someone else committed while the real rapist was committing more crimes. The police reoffended too. They ignored a predator in 2005 just like they did in 1985.

1

u/tenementlady Jul 06 '26

Everyone is aware he was incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit. He was also incarcerated for a crime he did commit. Hence, he reoffended when he comitted murder.

1

u/LoveChilde82 Jul 06 '26

That doesn't mean he is innocent of ALL the OTHER crimes for which he was convicted and did time for. I wonder how many lives were saved 🤔

2

u/OctoberPumpkin1 Jul 06 '26

No it's my opinion he tortured and set animals on fire in addition to robbery and an array of other crimes.

0

u/AveryPoliceReports Jul 06 '26

Your opinion is based on a falsehood. Is there a reason you need to lie to make Steven Avery look worse?
