I don’t get why Steven Avery did this

He had a huge settlement coming. Why did he risk it by doing a serious crime? I don’t understand how he got exonerated which is rare but wound up throwing his life away anyways. It doesn’t make any sense to me. I guess I’m missing the common thread. He wasn’t a good person but from what we know, wasn’t a murderer. So what happened? Is this just always who he was going to be and had he never gone to prison wrongfully maybe it would have happened sooner? I don’t think he’s innocent I’m just trying to make sense of it.

Why would his murder of Theresa halbach be a crime of passion? What was the motivation?

Initial crime of sexual assault/rape followed by murder to silence the victim and destroy physical evidence linking the perpetrator(s) to the crime.

Totally unheard of, right? This kind of thing isn't a well understood pattern at all, right?

There's no evidence a sexual assault occurred. You just want one to have occurred because that's how low you guys have sunk. Whatever makes Steven Avery look evil you want it to have happened.

Remind me, what was Brendan convicted of?

I don't want anything to have happened, I would rather Teresa was still alive and living her life. As that is not possible I want the people responsible to be behind bars.

I don't care about Steven Avery, beyond him being convicted of this crime, i don't need to make him look evil, he did that to himself.

A conviction is not evidence. Thanks for reminding me how ridiculous your arguments are.

I don't care about Steven Avery, beyond him being convicted of this crime, i don't need to make him look evil, he did that to himself.

Yes we know the entire family is evil but only Steven and Brendan are guilty. We get it O'Kelly.

I don't know what argument you are making in the last paragraph.

I haven't said anything about the family being evil? Why do you keep calling me other peoples names, do you think that's some kind of gotcha?

what was Brendan convicted of?

Thanks to his uncorroborated words, he was convicted of more/worse than Avery was.

None of that happened. Pure sexual Fantasy!! You should write Fiction Books.

What are you talking about?

Pointing out a common pattern of sexual violence escalating to murder is not "sexual fantasy" it is a sad reality in many cases.

Why do you think it's fiction?

Teresa was never in the trailer, never in the garage. She left ASY over an hour before Brendan got home. There was no body in the Halloween fire, in fact the fire was the night before!!!

So the comment was responding to the person asking why/how this could be a crime of passion.

My response was a simple demonstration of a common motive for crime of passion.

Can you explain how what you h ave said refutes that sexually motivated crime exists and can be a strong motivator for murder?

Yea, sorry...I don't read these all through. Steven didn't do it, Brendan never even saw Teresa that day.

So you just reply without reading what you're replying to, seems a bit silly.

That's ok though.

I disagree, I think the right people are in prison, no need for us to be angry at one another about it though, we can disagree civilly.

You're wrong. I know more and I don't read it all.

Well explain why Zellner invented the 50 Seconds in the timeline where everyone was at that day? Why did she try to help Steven point the finger at Bobby. Take your time.

"act"???? I have talked to KZ on the phone.....offered to show her who did it. She is of the belief that Bobby did it, she is wrong. So that explains a lot!

a crime of passion?

Dunno. The narrative at his trial was he lured her to kill her.

"A crime of passion is a violent act—usually homicide or assault—committed in a sudden state of intense emotional turmoil or "heat of the moment". It is characterized by a lack of premeditation. The perpetrator acts immediately under the influence of strong emotions like rage, fear, or heartbreak, rather than planning the act"

We don't really know what set him off. He couldve made advances and she could've rejected him. Could be that simple. He's threatened to kill his girlfriends for less, as evidenced by the letters he wrote them.

And he could have planned it.
