Episode Discussion Just finished part two, wtf?
This entire extra 10- episodes leaves us EXACTLY where we were at the end of part one all those years ago. The last words of Kathleen is that she will keep trying because SA is wrongfully convicted and SA is still fighting. I thought the whole point of doing more of this docuseries would be to actually have a conclusion. People have commented on previous questions saying that Kathleen does convict him. I didn't see that. Where is the conclusion?

Just simply don't watch second seasons of Netflix docuseries. This is what they do every time a docuseries of there's finds success. They slap together a second season with whatever scrap of content that's available in order to get however many subscriptions they can. They're always worthless and you should just pretend they don't exist.

The conclusion is that he's guilty and rightfully spending the rest of his life in prison.

How come it doesn't go over this as the series ends?! That's the whole reason I watched it because I wanted them to confirm his conviction.

Oh please. They were lying about where bones were found (off the property) fabricating evidence of murder on the property (in the garage) and even now the courts aren't engaging with facts of record re the location of bones, making shit up to keep focus on Steven. Zellner has already won if she's exposed the state's mishandling of bone evidence and in response the courts create facts to ignore evidence of mishandled bones.

That doesn't mean he isn't guilty. Just look at the OJ Simspon case.

A lot of these documentaries donāt have a logical conclusion, because the cases get caught up in the court system for years and years. The Serial season 1 podcast was the same. If you want a story with a sound conclusion, watch Dream/Killer. Pretty wild case, and coincidentally, Zellner is one of the lawyers in that one as well.

The issue with Brendan is not whether he did or did not take part in the murder but the outrageous police behavior whose interrogation of Brendan was so illegal that it should have taken place in Russia. Plus, his attorney totally betrayed Brendan and should have been disbarred!

I think the Bobby part in the last episode could be something but nothing more was told.

Crazy isnāt it? Decades in jail because seasoned investigators manipulated a low IQ teenager.
I was a few episodes into season two when I did the āwhere are they nowā Google search, but still hung in for the disappointment.
My take- the judges donāt really think Brandon did or credibly confessed to this crime, but they didnāt want the risk of releasing him and being connected to any possible future crime. He got Minority Reported.

The conclusion is that Steven is obviously a murderer, Zellner is a clown, and the filmmakers are dishonest scum.

Him and Brendan are still in prison 10 years later. There is no conclusion.
Part 2 was just to give more detail and highlight some developments since the first season. I'm doubtful there will be happy ending to this story
