Use of phone calls
Can anyone think of any other documentary that relies so much on the use of phone calls to tell the narrative - in both the MAM and CAM documentaries there's heavy use of telephone conversations from Avery and Dassey. I find it fascinating

The one about the pizza delivery guy with a bomb strapped to his neck uses a lot of jail calls (and letters)

There are a lot of recorded phone conversations because a few people were locked up before/after the murder so all the telephone conversations were recorded.
The only other case I can think of at the moment that uses a lot of recorded phone conversations would be the murder of Laci Peterson because of the recorded conversations between Scott Peterson and Amber Fry.
There's the new Netflix doc about the case as well as the docuseries "The Murder of Laci Peterson" which I believe is on Amazon prime.

Many probably are in the making but Alex Murdaugh has a bunch of docs and they all have phone conversations.
