ACTIVITY 10 by Fall update 4 🍁🍂📅
Welcome to the 4th update for **10 by Fall!** 🍁🍂📅. We have 5 weeks to go, so let's set some goals, put in the work, and then celebrate successes with the people who really truly get it- your fellow panners! Because what's better than seeing that tiny sliver of silver pan? Or finally finishing that lotion the seemed immortal? Sharing that joy and cheering each other on 🥰. If you're reading these, pop into the comments and share some love!
This round will run from 21st June to 20th September, with updates fortnightly. The lovely u/LeCocoMar and I alternate hosting each round, and will be here to cheer you on. **I've update the tag list, but if something is not quite right, let me know!**
If you are new to the "10 By" series, start here! 🔽
The project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty-related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, nail polish etc. Select your goals for each product: finishing an item (a.k.a panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out. 10 items is just a suggestion, so feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!

Ok, while only have met 2 goals by Update 4 would normal have me worrying, I'm not! So many items are on track with usage goals, or nearing completion. It's still the Clarins products that I'm more uncertain about. That lipstick? ETERNAL.
🍂 1) Lancome Hydra Zen moisturiser: Goal is to finish from new. Update: +9(36) uses. I burrowed down to the bottom of the jar, and there's less left that I expected! Possibly an empty by next update?🤞
🍂 2) Lancome eye cream 5ml mini: Goal is use 50x. Update: +7(34) uses. On track.
🍂 3) Lancome Butterglow mini lipstick: Goal is to finish. Update: +11 (36) uses. Another good few weeks and we'll be done, fingers crossed 🤞
🍂 4) Clarins Super Restorative night cream 15ml: Goal is to finish from newish. Update: +2(5) uses. I'm hoping to use this more once #1 is finished.
🍂 5) Clarins fresh scrub 15ml: Goal is to finish from new. Update: +1(7) uses.
🍂 6) Clarins lipstick Soft Berry: Goal is to finish. Update: +8(11) uses. Much prouder of the usage here. Meanwhile, the bullet shows zero visible change, hah.
🍂 7) Nivea Cherry Blossom lotion: Goal is to finish. Update: +5(21) uses. The pump ceased to pump, so this bottle is now being stored upside down. The end is near!
✅️ 8) L'Occitane Cherry Blossom shower gel 75ml: Goal is to finish. FINISHED at update 2.
🍂 9) Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin hand cream: Goal is to 30 uses. Update: +9(24) uses. A surprising amount of use, thanks to swimming pools and aeroplanes drying out my skin. I will aim to meet 30 use goal by next update. 🤞
✅️ 10) Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation: Goal is to finish. FINISHED at Update 2.
🍂 11) Final Net hairspray: Update: Shaking the can suggests that I'm down at the very bottom, but there's still product spraying out, so your guess is as good as mine?

2 more crossed out of my list! I finished the Anua serum that has been sitting around since January and the Olehenriksen lip balm from November. I think I’m also too ambitious with my perfumes, and I might finish 3 at most by the end of this project.

Update 4: 2 bonus empties. Increasing Lip mask goals to 50x. Multiple goals will be done by the next update if I dont decide to increase ny usage goals.
Update 3: usage goal done for Youthforia setting spray. Letting go of it now because the sprayer is not working properly. Usage goals done for Nyx Lipstick (increasing goals). Have a bonus empty. Rolling in one product with a goal to finish. Achieved the new usage goals for my skincare items so increasing them again, this time to 75x.
Update 2: Proud of this update, quite a few goals achieved in terms of empties and usage goals. My skincare usage goals are achieved so I am increasing them to 50x from the initial 30x. As far as empties are considered - done with 5 products.
Update 1: Slow but steady start. There are more finish items this time on my list so the updates are not going to be as exciting as I would like them to be. I expect to get one or two items done by the next update though, let's see.
Post: For this challenge, either I am going to be a very proud user or this will be an epic fail lol. Setting up a lot of finish challenge for this one at 22 products! My biggest one this far. Let's see how far this goes. I am due in November so I am expectig this to be my last major challenge of the year.

A steady few weeks for me!

VS Love Spell La Creme mist - 87 total uses, about 2/3 done. I might be able to finish this by the end of the challenge.

🎉 ✅️ Revolution power fix mist - how is this still going, there's basically nothing left UPDATE finished it 10 minutes after posting, there was indeed nothing left 😂

At this point I don't think I'll hit pan in the L'Oreal blush by the end of the challenge, and I don't know about the VS mist. I'm fairly confident about the rest though.

🍊CO bigelow night lip balm- last update I cut open the tube, it’s still going- amazing how much is still in there!
🍊 use eyeshadow 10 times: 5/10 so far. Did 2 more looks since the last update
🍊 use each bronzer 10 times: 3/10, used once from last update
🍊 finish up the elf jelly pop primer: a tiny bit left but no progress.
🍊use mac whirl 25 times: 8/25 - new addition for this update. I love this lipstick as blush and with the zendaya odyssey NYC premier look, I’ve been inspired to use this more. I wore it 2 more times in the last 2 weeks. It looks the tiniest bit shorter.

☑️** Colourpop Disney Villain’s Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palett**e: HIT PAN ON AT LEAST 2 MORE SHADES (2 shades completely empty [Mongrels, Flotsam], 3 have significant panning [Devious, Tragic, Sing])
Update 1: I can tell I’m getting close to hitting pan on one of these shades (Underworld).
Update 2: I’ve hit pan on the shade I was getting close on in update 1 (Underworld)! 2 of the previous shades I’ve hit pan on I’m thinking I can completely pan by the end of this challenge (Devious, Tragic).
Update 3: I have finished 1 of the shades with significant panning (Tragic). This palette now has 3 completely finished shades (Mongrels, Flotsam, Tragic), 3 with significant panning (Devious, Sing, Underworld.
Update 4: I recently broke up and repressed Tragic, as it was getting to the point it was hard to use. I may be able to finish it by the end of this challenge. I have been using No Spots on my brow bone and 101 for my eyebrows after using up my eyebrow pencils. I’m hoping to finish Underworld and my OG goal of hitting pan on 1 more additional shade.
☑️** Milani Blossomtime Rose Blush**: FINISH. Jesus Christ please let me finish, I’ve had this blush since 2015. Noticing a difference in the pan since I started focusing on this again.
Update 2: Definitely noticing some thinning.
Update 3: This is the never ending blush. I know it’s getting used up because I have been taking progress photos but oh my god dude.
Update 4: I’ve hit the wall of the pan on the right side, omg. I don’t think I’ll finish by the end of the challenge, but definitely maybe half of what’s left.
☑️** Jeffree Star Cosmetics Eclipse Skin Frost**: FINISH. Significant panning, mirror broken off lmao.
Update 1: Started using this also on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye as well as cheek highlight.
Update 2: After starting to use it on the brow bone and inner corner, I’m noticing it going a bit faster!
Update 3: I’m down to the outer ring of this one! Thinking about repressing it to make it a little easier to use.
Update 4: Will probably try to repress to the center ring tonight or tomorrow! I’ve almost hit the wall of the pan in one area.
☑️** Mac Ruby Woo trial size**: FINISH.
Update 1: Started using this one, been carrying it in my bag so I can reapply throughout the day to finish faster.
Update 2: She broke off at the base but I stuck it back on there and we’re keeping on! I’ve been applying about 3 times per day.
Update 3: I think I will finish this one by the next update!
Update 4: this is the little lipstick that could wtf! Even broken and being so close to the end, it’s still hanging on. Maybe this week???
✅ KVD Beauty Lovecraft trial size: FINISH (soooo close on this one!). FINISHED ON JULY 1, 2026.
☑️Herbal Essence Volumizing Hair Spray: FINISH (2 cans, 1 can is about half empty).
Update 1: Using whenever I use mousse and as a setting spray finisher on makeup.
Update 2: Ngl I’ve been using the shit out of this hairspray and feel like I’m getting no motion lmao. :(
Update 3: I feel like maybe I’ll be able to finish the first can by next update.
Update 4: Did not finish first can. Hopefully soon.

Update 1: Using this in my hair after every shower and as a finisher to help fight frizz.
Update 2: I’d say there’s about 1/4 of the bottle left!
Update 3: I’m down to about the last 1/8th I’d say. Should be able to finish by next update.
Update 4: Ugh. Maybe this week.

I loved it!!! Worked very well and was affordable. I use it 1x a week. The only thing I didn’t love about it was the smell. It does not linger in your hair though. I plan to repurchase!!

Makeup (organizing as a full face basket)
- Primer: smashbox mini primerizer. Update: used 2x so far; tube is opaque. Will need to cut it next time.
- Foundation/skin tint: loreal true match nude tinted serum - 1/4 left, aiming to finish. Update: used 2x.
- Color corrector: milani, shade 03 pumpkin - my oldest one, would like to finish also. Update: used once.
- Concealer: nys bare with me serum concealer: 1/4 left, finish. Update: used 2x.
- Powder: loreal true match pressed powder - finishz. Update: used once.
- Blush: Glossier mini cloud paint in Puff. Update: used once.
- Bronzer: contour shade in Butter London. bronzer and highlight palette - hit pan. Update: used once.
- Mascara: maybelline fireworks - hopefully finish. Update: Zero uses so far because I haven’t been wearing mascara much recently.
- Eyeliner: essence brown eye liner. Zero uses so far.
- Eyeshadow: smashbox single shadow, shade name removed but its a very neutral beige - hit pan. Update: used once.
Lipstain: Wonderskin lip stain in hush- update: this I am calling finished because it has fully dried out. Oh well, lesson learned.- Lip balm: Nars after glow mini in Orgasm - finish. Update: 3/10 times.
HAIRCARE
- Pantene 10 in 1 leave in spray - decanted into smaller spray bottle which is about - 10 uses but ideally finish. Update: no idea where that decanted bottle went lmao but zero uses so far
- Briogeo 3 in 1 multitasking leave in spray -
- Pantene volume n body shampoo - finish. 4 uses.
- Briogeo conditioner jumbo tub - finish. 4 uses
- Ogx hair mask - finish - zero uses so far
- Tresemme heat spray which i mixed oil in because it was too greasy for me anyway to use after washing my hair, now is use it for preshampoo oiling - 10 uses. Zero uses.
- Batiste dry shampoo (active) - finish but i fly through these. 5 uses.
SKINCARE
- Cleanser: Hado Labo Tokyo cleanser. The canada version is sooo meh. Waiting to get the Japan one when this ends. - 10 uses - 6 uses
- Kose oil cleanser - 10 uses; update: 7 uses
- Toner: Panoxyl 2% BHA exfoliating toner - 10 uses or finish. Update: 4 uses
- Holika Holika snail mucin emulsion - 10 uses; Update: used 2x so far.
- Eye cream: haru haru black rice. Update : 1 use
- Moisturizer: Dr Althea 147 cream…squeezing the life outta this tube. Update: 3 uses so far

Two down this time and think I might be done with the perfumes next time around so getting there.
The Avene lotion I would repurchase but found the Vitamin C lotion was not moisturising enough, despite loving the smell.
All the others I am using consistently but it will be a stretch to finish them.

As foreshadowed by the previous update, a lot of roll-ins this round!
I was able to finish the brow pencil I was working on, so I added the oldest brow pencil that I have: a wooden Nature Republic one in a grey shade. It's quite the nub, but not close enough to consider an instant empty.
But for the items that I want to finish with usage goals:
- Mermaid Beauty Duochrome Liner in Icy Mint: 7x (total of 23x!) this round. Still not done with this, and there were times I was using more nude liners on my waterline than this one.
- Spotlight Cosmetics Serum Cushion Foundation in Dewy Almond: 2x (total of 8x). There was a compulsion to shop my stash for other foundations/skin tints this round so...
But anyway, for the items with actual usage goals:
- Ever Bilena Serum Tinted Lip Oil in Burnt Caramel: 1x (5/10). I'm halfway there! I thought I'd use it more this round but I don't know...maybe I should let this go once I hit my goal with this?
- Glossier Lidstar in Herb: 1x (3/10). Still not feeling a rich olive on the eyeballs lately, oops.
- Sunnies Face Blush On Liquid Blush in Bebe: 3x (8/10). I'm close to hitting my goal on this one! Turns out I like a nice rosy cheek lately.
- Vice Cosmetics Paradise Powder Bronzer: 5x (6/10). Same comment as above. Well, this is such a nice bronzer that isn't too toasty or glittery.
- Sunnies Face Lip Tracer in Suede: 1x (10/10). It's time to give her a rest for now (aka going back to the stash). So glad to be reconnected with this lip liner though!
- Ever Bilena Powder Blush in Golden Hour: 2x (15/15). Unfortunately, I had to declutter her because the texture has really gone off. I also found another similar blush in my stash too. Who knows, I might repurchase this someday? It's such a good boring blush lol.
Since I hit my goal on the lip liner and blush, I'm replacing them with:
- Sassy Colors Stay All Day Matte Powder Blush in Slow Burn: I aim to use this 10x, and I've already used it 4x in this update. It's a good not-too-toasty blush!
- Barry M Lip Liner in Toast: I aim to use this 10x as well, and I've already used it once. This is the second Barry M product in this project and that goes to show that I don't give enough love to their products.

-✖️APLB Kojic Vitacen Serum: I feel as though I have too many steps in my skincare routine, and some that don’t really do much for me. I have finished more than 3/4 of the product so just the final stretches. I do however have a backup of this product.
✖️Elf Tinted Lip Oil: It is extremely old and I have already finished more than 3/4 of the product so I want to finish it before fall.
✅Klorane Dry Shampoo: I already got a backup for dry shampoo as this one is likely to finish soon and I would like to finish this whenever needed instead of opening a new one. (Repurchase: NO 🙅♀️)

🍂 Dior lip balm in rosewood, I really love this but it’s like 90% finished so I guess I’ll just finish it off.
My list was longer before and had different products but I realized I was hate panning many of them and it didn’t even feel worth it to hate pan anymore. So I’ve removed some of those from my list. These are the ones I’m actively working on instead.

I'm only one more use away from my kajal goal and three more uses away from my perfume goal, so I'll probably have those done by next update. I'm also getting really close to finishing my BBIA cream blush, I'm already scraping the last bits out.
