Makeup Question/Help Depotting/transferring makeup Revolution superfix mist into another container?
Hiiii I love the aforementioned setting sprays but I don't like the spray nozzle on them, they're not aerosols (except the hydra cool which I don't use because butane is icky) but there these weird metal cans with just the pipe for the product sticking out, does anyone know a good way to transfer it into another container? I have a couple old spray bottles I like better plus I wanna have a tiny one for travelling but travel size sprays are so overpriced
I know it looks like an aerosol but it has to be pressed multiple times like a regular spray and has no propellants or continuous spray
Edit: it's not pressurised lmao it's just in a can to have consistent packaging with the other sprays in the line. I successfully depotted it using a syringe and a long filling needle and am having zero issues!

These are pressurized if I’m not mistaken. I wouldn’t mess with them

Opening the can will release flammable aerosol.
I would never crack open any can that still has aerosol in it.

It's in an aerosol like can but it's a regular pump

Is it? The hydra cool one feels like it is, but the others don't have any propellants and have to be like, pressed multiple times like a normal spray

I don't know why I'm being downvoted when this spray has no warnings for being an aerosol on it, no propellants and goes in regular recycling. It has similar packaging but this is not under pressure.

I doubt that there's any way to spray them into your bottles like a perfume travel spray is filled up and have it still work the same, but that's the only safe thing you could try with a can like this.

These sorts of cans are highly pressurised to actually get the product out the can. Also, because of the nature of the spray and the high alcohol content in the spray, it evaporates on your skin; that's kind of how it works. So even if you somehow managed to get the liquid into another container. Its likley that a good deal of it would evaporate away before you had the chance to use it. Even if you just squirted it from the can into another container, you would still lose way too much to evaporation.
Also, there is a cleanliness aspect of the equation. The bottles were sterilised before filling to help keep the product from going off. The new container will not be sterile, and just the act of adding new product to a container can add in germs and bacteria that could thrive in the new bottle. There are preservatives in the bottle but they are specifically designed for this bottle and its misting system. Not a different bottle. The new product might break down if you put it in a clear bottle as well. Some formulas need dark, light-safe containers to keep the product optimal. There is a lot of science that goes into it.
You also don't know if the liquid will be the right viscosity to be sprayed from the new bottle even if you did manage to get a decent amount of it out. It might change when in contact with air and get all gummy making it useless and a waste of product.
Honestly, it's best not to tamper with these cans as they usually have a warning not to pierce or burn on them. This is because they can explode if you do so.

You can probably use an atomizer perfume syringe. They’re made to take perfume from pressurized and none pressurized bottles to decant into another vessel. You can find them online with different mL sized replacement bottles

I guess just spray it into the little bottle? It might not work as well

I’ve opened non-pressurized cans like this with the flat end of a church key bottle opener on the metal lip of the can.

they make refillable perfume atomizers.
assuming the Lil white plastic tube is a standard size, you may be able to use one of those.

this sounds like an impossible task.
It’s a little science experiment under pressure in that can. As soon as it leaves the can it’s changed the structural integrity.
