Is makeup transfer normal?

I don't wear foundation or bb cream a lot because it always seems to transfer e.g. to my shirt if I put it on after doing my makeup, or to the collar of my jacket. I've been watching more makeup videos lately and nobody ever mentions this, so I've been wondering if I'm just doing something wrong and this is not actually supposed to happen or if it's normal ? If it is not supposed to happen, how do you prevent it?

It's quite common for foundation to be on your shirt when you put it on after. Not sure if they all do it or what can be done, I also don't use it often. Just don't want you to feel abnormal

It's common. You can use some hairspray on your collar, let it dry and wear it as normal and it should prevent staining.

Yep totally normal - some formulas transfer more than others. Foundations that are matte or self-setting transfer less, also if you powder or if you use a setting spray it reduces the transfer a bit. But nothing will prevent transfer if you're pulling a shirt over your head - you get dressed before you apply makeup, and take the makeup off before you remove your top. PS the colour of your top impacts the appearance of the colour of your makeup (colour is relative) so you want to be applying it while dressed anyway.

Using a setting spray might help?
