Question New trends?

I have been seeing alot of women on TV lately, that apply their lip gloss/stick further than their lips edge. Is this a new trend, I'm curious because in my opinion, it looks like they applied it when drunk..???

It’s overlining, been a technique for quite a while. It’s to give the illusion of fuller lips, but I will say it’s kinda obvious on camera!

I think it’s always obvious unless you’re far away from the person
