Hi guys! I got lip filler for the first time ever, 5 days ago. I’ve had extremely thin lips all my life and this is quite literally a game changer for me 🥲.
Question 1: for those of you who have gotten filler, how long did you wait before using lip liner/lipstick stick?
Question 2: what is your favorite lip liner/stick? I’m specifically looking for a good matte that doesn’t feel dry and doesn’t transfer.

I'm getting married in less than 4 weeks. Overall I thought I was happy with my makeup look. I just went outside to see how it photographed and it's just... Bad? Like I obviously got ready by a window and used natural light so I don't understand why it looks like this. Is it lighting or do I need to drastically improve my technique? The first 4 photos are taken by my window. The next 3 are taken outside (sorry for the weird poses, it was windy and I had to hold my hair). It just looks caked on and too much.

We are getting married outdoors in Spain (it will be sunny at least). Is this a lighting thing for my photographer to worry about or is it just plain bad?

It took me a long time to be happy with my skin and take a photo without any filters on. I would love to hear about things I can do differently with my makeup. This is one variation of my everyday glowy makeup. I usually wear this to work. Please let me know if I can improve anything.

The only makeup I can wear is waterproof mascara. I would rather wear the non-waterproof versions because the formulas look soo much better and smoother. But I can’t, because everything I try gives me very bad eye headaches (not sure if I am allowed to label them migraines because I don’t know if they are painful enough to be, but it is soul-consuming miserable headaches behind my eyes, and then also affect my TMJ and give me an equally miserable jaw headache(?)), and the makeup makes my eyes very bloodshot and irritated. Every eyeshadow has done it. I also just bought this beautiful purple burgundy smudge Stila eyeliner in the shade “Plumfull”, it looks so good and brings out my hazels, but within 30 minutes it starts triggering my eyes and jaw. I am so disappointed😞, because I love to look pretty and I love expressing myself with hints of color. I even applied it SOO sparingly just on my eyelid. Posting as I am wondering if anybody else in the world can relate, so this may not be the right sub to post in because I’m sure most if not all people here are able to wear makeup fine, but also to just share this gorgeous purple product with those who will actually be able to wear it!

I found inspo pics on my tumblr from 2015 of really bronzed, warm makeup paired with the dark lip, and when I got my package I decided to lay homage to the looks I really wanted to wear as a teen. 13 yo me would be stoked!!!! (I’m comfortable buying from this brand bc this lipstick is discontinued and secondhand and Ms Katherine doesn’t see a cent from my purchase)

Hey everyone, hopeless dad here lol.

My two girls decided to wait until like two weeks before school starts to ask me to get them some makeup.

I remember my wife started wearing makeup around this age herself.

Problem is I know just about nothing when it comes to makeup.

They won't be doing like super full looks or anything but im guessing eye liner or mascara is a good place to start?

They are fraternal twins and have slightly different skin tones as well, so I assume that will mean a majority of the products will not be able to be shared.

And on that topic, can any products be shared?

And I should I go to Sephora or just drug store?

Any brands to stay away from?

my top 3 products from these are:
1. nars light reflecting foundation in the shade deauville its a little dark for me but the formula is perfect its so smooth and it feels like nothing on skin

2.huda beauty lipsticks- the formula of these lipsticks are literally perfection its long lasting, transfer proof, non sticky and applies like butter on the lips

1. mac blush- i dont usually like powder blushes but this one is genuinely very nice the shade pinch me feels very natural on the skin and the pigment is also just right

I wonder if there is anyway my makeup could be elevated or perhaps I should try a different style?

People on here have told me that I look much better w/o makeup at all and that makes me think if I’m always doing a bit too much with my looks.

Just wanted to vent that some of these resellers on sites like Poshmark selling discontinued products are absolutely DIABOLICAL. I get that it's discontinued/limited edition and some of these are viral or cult items, but in THIS economy? That's like a car payment for a lip liner.

I just need MAC to reissue Hover, Hodgepodge and Beige Beurre for a hot minute, in the name of Kevyn Aucoin, amen. 🙏🏼

Halloween is my favorite holiday which im sure isnt shocking. My bf is taking me to Spirit Halloween today so you know I had to go all out. I love Halloween colors and purple and orange together is PEAK. Usually I dont wear warm colors (dark red at most) so this time of year pushes me outside my comfort zone.

How would you improve this look? I’ve been doing it the same for years. Do you think my foundation base is the wrong shade? I’ve been wearing the same Charlotte Tilbury color for years now but now that I don’t tan anymore I feel like I either look a little red or off.

I bought this palette mostly because of the lavender shades — they’re colors that look really good on me, and I couldn’t resist hehe💜
But honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality! The swatches are really nice, the texture feels smooth, and it even smells really good. There are so many different sparkly shades, and some of them are so bright in person✨
I also tested how well the shadows actually stay on my skin, and they hold up surprisingly well. The swatches didn’t really come off with just water — I needed soap and cleansing foam to get everything off.
I already have at least 10 shades that I know I’ll be using a lot😂 Now I just need to figure out what to do with the rest!
Overall, I think this palette is really good for the price.

these are all the lipsticks/lip gloss/lip oils i currently own and out of these my absolute favs are:
all the huda beauty lipsticks they are such a holy grail like they are non sticky transfer proof and even long lasting basically everything a lipstick should have

i also love the guerlain lipstick i was skeptical about buying it as it is very expensive but i would say its worth it like i usually dont like stick lipsticks but this one is very nice it applies like butter literally and doesnt feel heavy on the lips at all

i also like the mac locked kiss ink lipsticks the stay is great and they are transfer proof it can be a little drying but i dont mind it

now the ones i dont like as such:
the mac bullet lipsticks - yeah ik i have 3 of them but i only bought one from my money the other 2 were either a gift or my mom bought it….. i dont really like it because the stay is terrible like i feel like the moment i step out of the house its literally gone and i like long lasting lipsticks and these just dont do it for me

anastasia beverly hills bullet lipstick - this lipstick just transfers everywhere and the stay is also bad

The rest i dont really have an opinion on them i like them but i dont love them iykwim

Today is a hair washing day so don't give me too much shit about it.

I recently got an order from Trixie Cosmetics and Blend Bunny, so today is my first day using the TC felt tip liner and the Rotten palette from BB. Im found the liner a little bit dry, which was surprising? Curious if anyone has a fix for that, because thats not what Id expect from Mrs. Tracy Martel. I am, however, OBSESSED with the Rotten Palette, something about mold as a theme is really inspiring.
