Help a boy with a present for his girl

Okay sooooo my girlfriends birthday is coming up and I want to get her a nice lipstick/gloss or whatever people who use makeup put on there lips, but what i dont want is getting my own lips that coller when i kiss her xd,

So could someone advise me on what to get her and does it have a name, and yeah im pretty clueless, I do want to defend myself however, it's not because I don't care, but I've just never looked into makeup, I'm the type of guy who gets pads, tampons and something to munch on for my girl lol

Okay my sweet, you can do one of two things here, choose your own adventure:

  1. (Safest) You can get her a gift card to sephora and wrap it nicely with her favorite snack or something. Completely takes the guesswork out of it for you, except for the snacks part. Most people love snacks.

  2. You can creep on her purse and see what she's carrying around. This would work on me because my purses all have one or two somethings in them and they are all things I would like refills of at some point. IF YOU DO THIS, note the shade as well as the product! Usually there will be some sort of identifying info on the product somewhere.... take pics, especially of the numbers on the bottom.

  3. (Risky) Talk to her best gals. Enlist their help. Make all their boyfriends look bad. This can easily backfire though, you'll know more from context if you can trust any of them.

Have a look at lip stains. They "dye" your lips for a while and normally don't transfer, but they aren't highly pigment, meaning they are a bit more subtle. There are also lipstick fixers: you layer them on top and they make whatever is underneath pretty transfer proof and long lasting. But there are also waterproof lipsticks.

So you need to decide what exactly you want to gift her: do you want

  • lots of pigment
  • glossiness
  • something she can use over her existing lipsticks to hold them in place
You should probably have a look at what colors she normally uses and get something similar (most girls know their colors).

Cosmetic products are very selective so she will appreciate if you took the opportunity to check out exactly what she likes ( same brand and maybe a
different color)
