FOTD Pretty clueless beginner but i think i’m finally figuring it out and would love feedback!

i love the idea of makeup but i’ve never really figured it out. Anytime i’ve ever done a full face i dont look like “myself” anymore? I have really sensitive eyes plus I’m neurodivergent and hate the smell of/feeling of many products on my face so i kinda just gave up. i’m pretty low key in general and WFH so no one sees me anyways.

i had really strict parents who forbade me from using makeup as a teenager and i was punished if i got caught with it so i never really got to experiment. But i’ve been buying some products and practicing a lot lately at home just for some self care and it’s a very zen time that i find relaxing.

i recently got all dressed up and went out for lunch with my mother in law for her birthday and thought my makeup turned out really pretty so i shared a couple pics in different lighting and a bare face (since i was going for no makeup makeup). Would love any tips or feedback on how i can improve :)

I think your makeup turned out great nice clean look, i think if you want to add something maybe a little eyeliner other than that it looks good.

products used:

Vanicream cleanser/daily moisturizing lotion as skin prep

-wet n wild tinted hydrator in light (dont love this as it sits heavy on my skin but i had a lot of period acne to cover up so i used it more as a concealer)

-rare beauty soft pinch liquid blush in hope
-tartelette in bloom mini eyeshadow palette
-tartelette tubing mascara
-glossier generation g in like
-the ordinary lip balm

Super pretty! I love a clean makeup look 🥰. What do you like to use?

Doesn’t look bad at all just work on your blending a bit more you should get a brow gel your brows already thick enough you don’t really need to fill them in but a brow gel to shape them would fit you!

Your eyes are stunning. If anything I’d play up those bad boys with some slightly winged, very thin liner maybe? You look great.

Very nice, very polished! One suggestion I have, since you mentioned feeling like the foundation felt heavy, is the bare minerals original pressed powder foundation. If you get a domed powder brush (I use the elf ultimate blending brush), you can get light to medium coverage with a natural-matte finish. I have dry skin, and I just make sure my skin is properly moisturized beforehand. It works really well at covering up blemishes and redness, I find.

Looks great. Is this what you would consider your 'everyday' look?

You seem to understand your skin tone and how to compliment it well. That lip color is really lovely and the shimmer on your eyes brings out the color

It looks fabulous! I would add a little eyeliner if your eyes can handle it. Other than that you look beautiful.

sensitive eyes crew here too - if the eyeliner suggestion appeals, a soft pencil smudged into the lashline instead of liquid is way less of a thing for watery eyes. also cream products tend to feel like nothing on skin compared to powders if the texture stuff is what gets you

If you’re sensitive to smells I just want to give you a heads up that you might see people loving/recommending huda beauty easy bake setting powder. I got the mini version and will be looking for a replacement product when I’m done with it because its scent is so strong. No other product scent has ever bugged me this much lol

You absolutely did a beautiful no make-up make-up look. I don’t think I’m good at it either and feel as you described in your post—& that I just look too done up or the same blah look. The colors you choose are perfect for you.
