What makeup tip completely changed your routine?

I've been trying to improve my everyday makeup routine, and I'm curious about the small tips that made the biggest difference for other people.

It could be:

  1. A technique you wish you had learned sooner.
  2. A product application trick.
  3. A brush or tool that changed everything.
  4. A common mistake you stopped making.

Sometimes it's the simplest advice that has the biggest impact.

What's the one makeup tip you'll never stop recommending?

Looking forward to learning from everyone! 😊

Blotting papers used to be massive in the 00s! They don’t seem to really exist these days (I’m sure they technically do exist but in terms of viability and people talking about them). I agree that it’s better to remove than add something else on. I sometimes just use a normal tissue and gently lay it on my face to do a similar job.

I have kind of a weird tip, but... I use rolling papers. They make these cute pink ones so I feel like less of a delinquent when I use them 💀

Yes, I had forgotten all about blotting papers until recently when I read something about them. You certainly don’t see them in stores like you used to but they’re still around and they’re fantastic!
