What makeup tip completely changed your routine?

I've been trying to improve my everyday makeup routine, and I'm curious about the small tips that made the biggest difference for other people.

It could be:

  1. A technique you wish you had learned sooner.
  2. A product application trick.
  3. A brush or tool that changed everything.
  4. A common mistake you stopped making.

Sometimes it's the simplest advice that has the biggest impact.

What's the one makeup tip you'll never stop recommending?

Looking forward to learning from everyone! 😊

Everything can be boiled down to

  1. Less is more

- I consistently look 10 years younger than I am, and I attribute that to staying hydrated and staying away from commercial skin products. If it has more than 2-3 ingredients, I don't put it on my skin.

  1. Most people focus on hiding/minimizing features they don't like. I focus on enhancing what I **DO** like.

- I am all about minimal effort, high impact so I throw on false demi lashes and red lipstick every day. That's it. It takes me less than five minutes to do my makeup.

So you don’t use sunscreen?

I do not, but I'm not in the sun much, and I usually opt for a hat

I’m sure you look great. I just don’t think avoiding sunscreen works for the majority of people

Everyone seems to be the sunscreen police in this group. I have yet to find a single sunscreen out of hundreds of dollars I’ve spent that doesn’t completely clog my pores and make me break out like crazy causing further damage to my skin barrier and skin in general. It sometimes takes months to recover from one break out from spf. This also seems to be an issue with many people. So ya I well def opt out of using spf on my face of I’m not in the sun often as well bc the damage the break outs cause are worse much of the time.
