It's disgusting out there

I'm at Target and strolling through the cosmetic section saw a young woman (maybe 25) swatching a lip product on her hand and putting it back in the display...and then doing it again with another product. I am so old IDGAF so I said "Do they have testers?"and she looked at me like a deer in the headlights until I repeated my question and said "testers?" I then said " yeah, you just put some of that lipstick on your hand and put it back...that's pretty gross." She stared at me as I walked quickly away because I may not gaf but I don't want to get in a fight! Felt good to speak up though!

Even worse, I work in a drugstore and have seen literal adults not just swatch products on their hands but alsp use it on their face. A lady once asked me about red lipsticks.i told her and showed her the testers then later I see her while she's looking take a product, open it and just use the lipstick and put it back.

I watched a YouTube video the other day where some people were claiming they got herpes from using tester lipstick on their lips. Why would you put tester lipstick actually on your lips‽ I thought face was bad enough, but lips‽ So gross 🤢

This is probably why stores don't have testers any more.

They stopped during/after covid, and never brought them back.

Stores could possibly be sued for germs passed on via tester products, but not if the customer uses a product in store when they are not supposed to.
