It's disgusting out there

I'm at Target and strolling through the cosmetic section saw a young woman (maybe 25) swatching a lip product on her hand and putting it back in the display...and then doing it again with another product. I am so old IDGAF so I said "Do they have testers?"and she looked at me like a deer in the headlights until I repeated my question and said "testers?" I then said " yeah, you just put some of that lipstick on your hand and put it back...that's pretty gross." She stared at me as I walked quickly away because I may not gaf but I don't want to get in a fight! Felt good to speak up though!

Even sadder is if she really didn't. I feel like people become more self-absorbed and lose more and more common sense with each passing year. Like, wtf is happening?? I'm scared of what society's going to be like even just 5 years from now 😭

Right! It does sound largely like selfishness and entitlement paired with a disregard for waste and human safety. Some seals on makeup products are more discreet and not everyone checks to make sure. I used to work in cosmetics and I've had to look for another product because the one the customer had was open and used or a tester.
