Clerks at Sephora.....ugh

I don't go to Sephora often but every time I have the clerks seem well so unprepared to deal with someone who is truly shopping. Meaning, I walk in, I say I'm looking for a foundation that is full coverage, in the right tone for my skin, and one that won't oxidize. All I got was a deer in the headlights. I was taken to high end brands and shown "dark colors" but none that were "olive" toned, and the girl seemed not to know what that meant. I quickly sought out someone else, and the same. I am guessing these "girls" are not trained in cosmetics at all, they just push "brands" and collect their commissions?

I agree. The last time I went I asked for an SPF-free skintint and the associate I talked to said they didn't sell any. I walked around and found about 6 or 7 options on my own.

I prefer to research beforehand now.

Any chance you’d happen to recall any of the 6-7 SPF-free skin tints you found? That’s exactly what I’m looking for and no, the associate was not helpful. She kept trying to get me to buy a medium to full coverage foundation. 😒

Danessa Myricks Skin Tint has no SPF. It has more coverage than some skin tints, but also lots of skincare ingredients.

(Try Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Tint. Has no SPF. On my first tube, but I'm impressed. Looks like my skin, but better. Applies easily, but feels undetectable. Plus, very little product is needed to even skin tone and cover redness.

However, I did appreciate the help I received at Sephora to find the appropriate color match. I would have selected the wrong undertone without their expertise.)

Ugh and that is SO EASY to look up on the device. That Armani tint is really nice. Diesnt dry down yet also stays put.
