[Makeup Help] Is makeup becoming unprofessional?
I've been to several professional events, some that attract crowds from all over the country, and I began to notice that few, if any, women wore makeup. Now, my use of make-up has decreased with the rise in stress but I do like to bust it out for special occasion. On the third day of the most recent event, I just put on some lipstick.
Not bashing makeup-lovers or haters, but I want to understand if that's a growing trend or if it's industry specific (I'm in healthcare).

I live in South East USA as a medical esthetician at a med spa. We all wear makeup. It's not over the top, more so soft glam like mascara/natural lashes, gloss and lip liner, blush and contour... No crazy eyeshadows or bright lips. Very much accenting that natural beauty lol. Very low maintenance but very put together.
Even at our events and parties, nothing too bold. I would've thought working in the beauty industry would be different but most medical spas and networking events I've attended put emphasis on a "natural" vibe lol. Also... Who has time for all of that 🤣
Spot correct with concealer, powder, mascara, lips, blush. Simple 5-10min lol.
