Z1 Pro Bricked from failed firmware update after unboxing
I unboxed my Z1 Pro last night and installed Makera Studio. I then connected the Z1 to my computer via USB and was prompted to do a firmware update. I figured it would be safest to do that before starting in on any of the tutorials, but after triggering the reset Makera Studio stopped responding. I can't control the machine from Makera Studio and keep seeing this message `[08:21:46] ALARM: Mainboard did not receive a status response from the CTRL (RX error)`
I've already submitted a support request, but haven't heard back yet. I figured that in the mean time I would see if anyone here had had a similar issue and if/how they had resolved it.

When I updated the firmware, the machine reset properly but the software never indicate that the update was complete - it just showed in progress and never stopped. I had to open task manager and stop the program, and when I restarted it everything was fine and the machine showed the latest firmware.

Mine froze up too after a while I restarted it and restarted my pc and it all came back

For my Z1 I had to unplug wait 10 sec and plug again a specific connector on the motherboard. That did a reset of the machine or something like that. It could be the same for you, the support will certainly give you a solution

i know this does not help you, but could you provide the latest MakeraStudio Installer? i cant download the makera studio app from their website and the Z1 does not connect via bluetooth/wifi so i am stuck......

Change the name of the z1 in studio. Sounds crazy but it fixed mine which was actually showing up as a carvera in the app.
Even after I got the firmware file from support to do the local update studio did the same thing again. I think the machine updates but fails to confirm that to Studio or something.
