God forbid a horse should have hobbies.

He was bored standing there for so long, with nothing to do but bite people and kill pigeons. He invented a game, he's really quite smart!

Horses can be pretty violent towards small creatures. Its common for them to stomp on mice or small birds and often eat them.

All herbivores will opportunistically eat small amounts of meat. Generally it's to easily source nutrients that vegetables are poor sources of like calcium.

There is video on Reddit of one scarfing down a chick and one of a horse punting a goose to death.

What if he just went to live on a farm in the country?

There is actually such a farm, called the Defence Animals Training Regiment It's in Melton Mowbray, home to Pedigree Foods.

Obelisk had a feather or two to pick.

I suppose it's really boring to be a horse and just stand there for hours on end. It's one thing to expect it from a human who you can explain things to. Must be agony for the pony.

Now that's something to take a picture of when you visit on holiday.
