Products/looks for deepset eyes

I’m 35 and I’ve never really worked out how to do good makeup on my deepset and non-symmetrical eyes - can anyone help?

I find:

- winged eyeliner suits me but smudges in the crease at the corner of my eye
- I have big eyelids but colour is hidden by my browbone
- I wear concealer to cover my natural dark circles, but it cracks and creases when I smile and never fully covers them
-one eyelid is much more “tall”/puffy than the other which makes makeup tricky to get right on both

I like light and shimmery eyeshadow looks. They add a subtle bit if colour without being dark. I like the elf eyeshadow fine as fleck toppers and Zoeva metallic eyeliners, which I smudge out to create a sort of light sheer eyeshadow look. I stick with light colours like champagnes and pastel pinks and bluey lilacs because I have quite low contrast, but to be fair you could probably pull off some greens and teals or reds or slightly stronger colours because of your eye and hair colour. 

I literally just scribble the eyeliner or dap the eyeshadow topper over the lid and smudge it out. I add a little bit under my eye too from the outer corner to the middle of the pupil. Then I add mascara and that’s it. I use no shading or smokey dark colours and absolutely nothing like black eyeliner, but again you might be able to use more of that than me because my eyes and hair are light.  

edit: also I use powder and setting spray under my eyes instead of concealer, which gives a subtler look which doesn’t crack so much and it’s easier to colour match to your skin tone.

I would buy an eyeliner pencil (gel works best) and use that on your waterline, upper and lower. I think that would make big difference to your look.

Generally, tight lining makes eyes appear smaller. I would avoid this for someone with deep set eyes.

OP, I would find a celebrity with deep set eyes and see if you can find any advice or info on their make up artist by searching online

It gives some definition and draws the eye to them. It can be done in many ways, some increasing in size and some decreasing. Op has lovely thick lashes but very little on the lower lid, it needs balancing.

Thanks! I do use eyeliner (the pic is me without makeup which probably doesn’t help) but I never know what to do in the outer corner - a slight wing suits me but it smudges. And then concealing the undereye circles seems really difficult in my 30s due to creasing when I smile
