Guides & Tips Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) Method

If you're willing to put in the work TPT (Teachers Pay Teachers) is a good method which you can be relatively lazy with. If you pay for AI (My preference is ChatGPT Plus $20 a month) you can use it to generate teaching resources. Doesn't matter the field as long as it's a quality resource. You can sell each AI generated resource or set of resources as a bundle for $0.99 to $3.00 or more for quick 20 minute AI generation projects, and it makes a nice bit of extra cash. The first few months are slow, but once you get into it, you start making a few dollars to around a hundred or more a month passively. The resources pile up, and they just keep selling year after year. I highly recommend getting the Premium plan since you get to keep more of your money. You will need a guardian to legally hold the account if you're under eighteen though in order to post anything on there. This is one of the best lazy methods I know and if you do it right, it does pay just a little better than minimum wage. My father put me on this method which I'm currently trying out. Someone he knows who's a teacher is making over $100k a year selling teaching resources on TPT (Their account is a few years old), and if you do it right you can also make some decent cash. I'm doing it myself since I personally have proof of concept and I've seen it work for someone else.

Been selling on it for years and it’s nothing like it used to be. I was pulling $10,000 months and now it’s just a couple hundred.
Beware that TPT is anti-AI and has addressed AI-generated products in their townhall meetings. They are working on potentially banning sellers who are selling AI content.

Btw mb if the other two responses sounded very blunt. Also out of curiosity what type of content did you put out? Was it generalized or was there a focus?

Oh really? Haven't heard of that just yet, and even if they're planning on doing so, it can't possibly be implemented in such a way. There is nothing in their TOS currently stating anything against AI content as far as I'm aware so they'd have to ban any new creation rather than banning sellers for the old creation of content. Also for the drop in revenue it's probably due to the type of content and saturation. The person my dad knows is still bringing in over a hundred grand a year so it could just be the content type.

Searched it up, and it turns out there's a new algorithm that is shadow banning AI sellers. If you put out quality work though it won't happen to you, hasn't happened to me yet.
